New Gundam series next October!… Apparently.
Fresh from the rumour mill. According to Moon Phase Zakki sources, a new Gundam series will start airing October next year. Many valorous spies paid the ultimate sacrifice to bring us this information.

Quote:
Translation:
New Gundam series, starts airing October next year!… Apparently.
Taking over the time slot of Ayakashi Ayashi, a new Gundam series will air during the Saturday 6pm slot next year. The director will be Seiji Mizushima. Although this is, technically, an internal leak, it is not confirmed whether the project is really proceeding as stated.
You can just feel the journalistic confidence oozing out of this little article… On another note, Seiji Mizushima is most well-known as the director of Full Metal Alchemist.
Unlike most people, I still have hopes for the SEED franchise, especially if a new director is being brought in to continue the series. While it is not certain if the new Gundam series will continue the C.E. timeline, or indeed whether it even exists at this moment, I have this to say: BRING STELLAR BACK!!!
P.S. Moon Phase has also confirmed, with information from Comiket 70, that the third Nanoha series will be a full-fledged TV series and not OVAs. I don’t care for Nanoha, but it’s on the same page as this news so might as well….

most of u say dat wing sukz. but if it suckz so much why do u dumbasses talk about it so much? personally i think that there should be another wing series cuz most people agree dat its da best!!!
May 8th, 2007 at 9:48 pm
and sum1 with brains (wing fans) tell me when is Gundam Wing: Battlemaster comin out?
May 10th, 2007 at 3:39 am
erm so seed fan +wing fan = half brain….
We all got own opinion…. many people have own intrest…
so you cant tell that People with brain are WIng fan…
how about Pro. of universiti dont have brain? frankstein dont have brain?
May 10th, 2007 at 3:41 am
and and Wing fan is Boy-man
but Seed Fan is Boys-Girls-man-woman-and etc

Wing has no science no theory, it’s just blast them all.
Seed + seed destiny sounded like it had science but really it couldn’t back anything up.
UC = lots of science, evolution of humans and science and technology. it adapts current technology and science to a new level and is a visualization of the future.
UC, gundam 0079: 3 screen cockpit, heavy armor, experiment of beam rifle, beam saber and e-caps, minovsky craft,
gundam 0080 - 0087: experiment 360 panoramic cockpit, experimenting minimization of bit onto Mobile suit, I-field experimentation
0087-0093: mass produciton of 360 panaramic screen and boi-sensor, movable frame, reduce armor for agility, incom experimentation, Alice experimentation, introduction of dummies, beam smart gun
0093: pshyco frame technology, funnel, arm raker technology
0123: bio-computer experimentation, VSBR, minimization of size, beam shield introduction
0153: minovsky drive able to accelerate fast and create mivosky particle plasma blades = wings of light
these are all possible in near future, beam rifles, can be made with ucrrent technology though large equipemnts are needed.
u don’t see these technological evolution or back ground science in wing nor seed.. just powerfull godly gundams were magically created.

Looking at the title one more time, it says: New Gundam series next October. So apparently, is an all new series. My speculation is that Gundam series will take a dive into the virtual world, just like Rockman.EXE and Baldr Force EXE. But of course, it’s not really that true.
Yep, whatever Zyrael had said about GSD is most probably true. I too feel that the most shocking is about Kira joining ZAFT, instead of staying at ORB and stay in charge there. ORB is his real home anyway.
Anyway, Gundam SEED’s movie will JUST be like Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. If the movie dives right into 3D, that would be fantastic.
May 18th, 2007 at 4:25 pm
Is that new gundam will be other series (I mean not another gundam seed series.) There’s no specific gundam series that stating in the news. I hope you understand my english.

While it is not certain if the new Gundam series will continue the C.E. timeline, or indeed whether it even exists at this moment, I have this to say: BRING STELLAR BACK!!!
—————————————————————————————
so this is what it say…..
and i think it is a seed series….. XD…..
another one….

Yes, i’ve waiting for this..!!
Seed and Destiny where realy great, so lets bring on the other series..
I’ve got almost everything of gundam, but nothing beats Seed and Destiny. But I respect all the series..so you most stop your bitching and show some more credit for this serie..!!!

razakiller, and to all those Stellar fans, I’m only a little certain that Stellar would return in the time of the new Gundam Seed movie, except in flashbacks or as a soul (like Fllay). The Gundam SEED series is looking into more of a kind of realistic situation of the world: war. It’s not like those fantasy series like Final Fantasy, where the dead can come back. The only 2 theories I can think of in which Stellar is not definitely dead.
Firstly, she merely lost (complete) consciousness after being taken out of the Destroy’s cockpit by Shinn. Someone may had happened to see Shinn placing Stellar into the near frozen lake. Of course, this is only about 1% possible, as unconscious people don’t immediately sink in the water; dead people sink in water, technically.
Secondly, Neo, or now known as Mwu la Fllaga, may have “switched people”. Now, is this really possible? How much time can Neo, at that time, be able to find a substitute that looks exactly like Stellar? I didn’t really mean “act” like Stellar or have the same memories as her, as this is likely with the technology the EAF had, as to be able to use Stellar’s memory to overwrite another “twin”. Again, is it possible? I’d give, again, 1% chance for that.
As a result, I don’t think it’s really possible for the real Stellar to step into the “cameras” of the movie. In fact, there’s a critically low chance for that. But to say that another girl who looks and acts like Stellar in many ways, it would be likely to get that.
Besides, should such a girl appear in front of Shinn’s eyes, it’ll most likely remind him of Stellar.
Sorry to disappoint you fans of Stellar, but I mean it. No use bringing the dead back in a much too realistic series.

Oh yes, one more note. I emphasize again: a new Gundam series would most likely mean something new, not a continuation of Gundam Wing, SEED, 0079 etc etc series. I’m very sure of that.

TO THE 81’st poster:
Ahem!! Pardon me but SEED not having a scientific background? That wouldn’t be true, cause if one would look closer, the factors that make SEED is possible in the near future.
Coordinators are nearing possibility. Genetic enhancements are being done in labs all around the world but only for animals and plants. There are few human test subjects already as far as I know. (EX: Tomato + fish genes = Tomato resistant to very cold weather::: Cold Resist + 60%)
SEED factor on the other hand is just an exaggerated and higher representation of what we call the ‘adrenaline rush’.
Also, the Phase shift technology was derived from the explosive reactive armor of tanks of today. Phase shift technology is also being developed today but it’s called electric reactive armor. Basically has the same principles as phase shift but not completely. Try searching in Wiki for this one, I read it there.
The emphasis of the OS used in mobile suits is also not really far fetched as it may seem.
Most military technology available today has it’s own computer and it’s own OS. These OS greatly affects the vehicle one is in; the pilot support OS they use on F-117 is one really good example. It was claimed that the F-117 won’t be able to fly due to it’s weird design, but due to it’s OS, it was able to and not only that, there was one incident in which the plane had some malfunction in one of it’s flight control part, (forgot what part was it, sorry), but due to it’s OS again, the computer made tremendous amount of adjustments making it appear to the pilot that nothing happened. A similar but advance OS is being used to fly the B-2.
The next step of stealth technology is stealth against light dependent vision. I don’t have much info on how true this is, but some say they’ve already began to crack the egg.
Neutron Jammers might be a possibility as Physics evolves overtime. If I remember it right, there is this lab somewhere in the US where they are experimenting on ANTI-MATTER. They were able to produce this small amount of anti-matter (a few milligrams I think) and is currently being hold in a vacuum container and floats in it while being hold electronic fields. If they are going to further expand their studies, they might actually make actual neutron jammers. Anti matter destroying free neutrons only. Who knows, they might actually have done it already. ***Now that I said this, I think there is already a name for anti-neutron particles and were theoretically believe to exist in space. Similar to what people use to think about Anti-matter, something only from science fiction, but it is now a reality.***
One reason why SEED doesn’t have that much scientific background is most likely because this is how real wars are. Development of most military-ware are done in secrets and mostly are not revealed up until war comes.

I just hope that this time the main character wouldn’t actually have the usual main character trait that most Gundam shows have.
What trait you say?
The ‘born to be a weapon’ trait.
Three pilots I know have this trait; Amuro, Heero and Kira.
One pilot I know doesn’t have this trait but still has an amazing gundam.
Garrod of X, he didn’t have the ‘born to be a weapon’ trait but has got the gundam to end all 3 powerful gundams, (Hi-Nu, Wing Zero and Strike-Freedom), in a single shot.
Add to that his really cute girlfriend, Tiffa Adil, who’s way better than Relena and Sayla Mass. On par only with Lacus. ^_^
Hope they make a remake of X one day.

I have a few comments about “technology”.
First of all, I dont know about the manga, but in the animated series, none of the UC series really explains that much about the technology. I always hear people talk about the physics of UC as if it exists and they explained it butafter seeing every series two or more times they don’t. They might in the manga but I don’t know.
By the way, wikipedia is NOT a good source of information. ANYONE can change it to make it say what they want it to say.
When it comes down to it:
I would say Wing is the most likely in terms of technology. UC discovers some new miracle particle that does wonders, I’m taking a class in that area of physics right now and that isn’t very likely. SEED has some understandable technology. Wing is even more understandable. The only things we would need for Wing to come true are, very efficient fuel (they do mention that the gundams are run on fuel in the series), some new crazy metal (a whole lot more likely than a new physics centered around a new particle), and a lot of advancements in AI. SEED would need to replace the fuel with battery advancements and nuclear reactor advancements. It would also need to make the whole phase shift thing. Then there is coordinators, I can’t give a reliable source but DNA hasn’t actually been discovered. It’s just our best guess. If it had we would already have been seeing coordinators.
The whole beam saber thing though is way out of our league (we are more likely to make something comparible to Libra’s main gun or a colony laser than a beam saber, this coming from a physicist speaking about Star Wars, Star Trek, and other SciFi).
Gundam X, G Gundam, Turn A lack explanations of technology. Gundam X may be possible, not so sure about the whole moon beam charging it up though. G Gundam…that’s far far out there….I’m talking the advancement of the entire human race to do some of that crazy stuff. Turn A, probably the other likely series, except for the fact that technology is supposedly salvaged from all other series making it the least likely to be true.
