New Gundam series next October!… Apparently.
Fresh from the rumour mill. According to Moon Phase Zakki sources, a new Gundam series will start airing October next year. Many valorous spies paid the ultimate sacrifice to bring us this information.

Translation:
New Gundam series, starts airing October next year!… Apparently.
Taking over the time slot of Ayakashi Ayashi, a new Gundam series will air during the Saturday 6pm slot next year. The director will be Seiji Mizushima. Although this is, technically, an internal leak, it is not confirmed whether the project is really proceeding as stated.
You can just feel the journalistic confidence oozing out of this little article… On another note, Seiji Mizushima is most well-known as the director of Full Metal Alchemist.
Unlike most people, I still have hopes for the SEED franchise, especially if a new director is being brought in to continue the series. While it is not certain if the new Gundam series will continue the C.E. timeline, or indeed whether it even exists at this moment, I have this to say: BRING STELLAR BACK!!!
P.S. Moon Phase has also confirmed, with information from Comiket 70, that the third Nanoha series will be a full-fledged TV series and not OVAs. I don’t care for Nanoha, but it’s on the same page as this news so might as well….

NO!!! 3D WILL MESS UP GUNDAM
You saw what happened with G-Savior didn’t you?
It was so bad that they don’t even claim it on most Gundam sites. I mean, SD Gundam is claimed as a Gundam Series/Movie more often than G-Savior.
Aside from that, 3D is already invading everything. Supporting Gundam into 3D would probably mean the end of old style animation in Gundam. Old style animation is fighting a losing battle as 3D takes over.
Besides, we all know that eventually they are probably just going to end up remaking every single series in 3D. I’m betting that within the next 10 years 0079 will be rereleased in 3D and it will be announced that they will all be rerelease in 3D. (When I say all, I mean all of the series that they think they might make money on. They probably wont remake the series that they didn’t make as much on. For example, Turn A, Victory, and X probably wouldn’t be remade because they aren’t as big of series, they are more underground compared to the others.)

Eh you guys talk too much, SEED more or less is a chick flick, if not for Wing I guarantee Gundam wouldn’t be big in America. When Mobile Suit Gundam was released here it got horrible ratings and was canceled, although it is a great series people liked Gundam Wing better. Telling me about realism of space colonies and flying mobile suits, that’s really realistic, gundam in general isn’t realistic, either the case Gundam Wing made gundam what it is in America and you know it.

I agree with reply 109. The discussions about what Gundam series will appear in October has turned to a war of words between SEED, Wing and many more series. Perhaps I too got too engrossed with supporting SEED in the war.
But anyway, I post this message as I just figured out something at Youtube. A movie is to come out in 2008. The title is Gundam SEED Detiny: The Motion Picture. I’m not quite sure whether it’s the full length movie for the last of the trilogy or a revised version of GSD. According to Wikipedia’s “Gundam SEED: The Movie” article, the movie will focus on the events of C.E. 74.
And take note in the article: it’s the first full length movie for a Gundam series since that of MS Gundam F91 (probably known as Gundam F91: The Motion Picture). So, this GSD: Motion Picture will most probably be the last of the trilogy we’ll ever heard of the C.E. timeline.

This is even more shocking than Ace Combat 6 Fires of Liberation, and Mobile OPs porting over to the XBOX 360!

Anyway back to more pressing matters I’m totally cool with the release of the movie since i’m NOT going to argue over things with ppl. Those who support SEED = congrats, you’ve just made my day!
(I’m ONLY KIDDING, it is great that they are making an official Gundam Seed Movie. That way it will be even with Gundam Wing since GW had Endless Waltz, and now SEED has its own movie, How Ironic!)

PS: DarkD… It’s perfectly fine to support Gundam SEED, I know that there are ppl who support shows for their own reasons and I’m perfectly cool wid that. I can also be at fault for saying GW is better!

maurice, I don’t know if there’s such a presence of this sneak trailer, but I’ve just discovered several traces of evidence of the movie coming up. And besides, I think another trailer had been fished out and posted in Youtube itself. Hate to say it, but it does sound like there’s gonna be a movie of Gundam SEED coming up soon.
