LG Digital Fine Contrast does magic for anime!
Were you rubbing your eyes in disbelief at episode 3 of Yoake Mae yori Ruri-iro na? Or were you stabbing them with blunt pencils to relieve them of their agony like I was? Does it bring you merciless flashbacks of those recurring Soul Link nightmares that took many days of psychological therapy to suppress?
If you answer “Yes” or “Maybe” to any of those questions above, you need to get yourself a LG digital LCD display! It will solve all of your anime quality problems completely!
Read on for the delicious details.
Just take a look at this comparison picture from an electronics store in Akihabara:

CABBAGE!!! Taken from Akiba-blog
LG’s dynamic contrast feature gives your anime a much more 3D and realistic appearance!

FEENA!!! Taken from Akiba-blog

Its effects on live-action shows are, however, less than satisfactory. :(

Ok I guess I should explain.
The whole meme started in 2ch because episode 3 had such crappy animations. The cabbage was used by the 2ch people as a rallying point because that scene showed an obvious lack of quality and also because it didn’t really look like a cabbage.
So anyway, 2ch people were are going “CABBAGE!!!” in every AkeRuri-related thread and posting pictures of cabbages in everything.
Akihabara, being the cutting edge of otaku in-jokes, did the same and this shop parodied the original LG advertisement, which is the third picture up there.
JEEZ GUYS! Jokes aren’t meant to be explained.

Using poorly drawn anime sequences and referencing them to the original ero-game CG as a sales tactic?
Talk about the wonders of advertising.
Well…it MIGHT convince.

Sry if I’m wooden, but sometimes an explaination is always better than none.
