JLPTにさよなら！…多分。
The end is close. This will hopefully be the last JLPT paper that I will ever have to take in my life. Never again will I have to travel to that god forsaken school located in the middle of nowhere to suffer for hours, enduring freezing coldness and uncomfortably small chairs.
Yup, I just received my JLPT notification. The test venue is Japanese School (Changi Campus) yet again. Looks like I will never get a chance to take the test in one of the more easily accessible alternative test sites. Maybe it’s just destiny.
So, who else is awaiting the arrival of December 3rd? :P

For some reason, I got the JCS as my test venue this year instead. That also means that I won’t be seeing all my friends, including you.

Oh, I just realised that 1 is in the afternoon while 2 is in the morning , so we wouldn’t be seeing each other anyway.

I’m like taking my first ever JLPT, that is JLPT3. I must suck at it or something since my scores vary like mad when I do the TYSes. I got 374/400 for 2005 paper but 200+/400 for 2004 paper.
I’m scared DM-sensei. Tell me how you studied for your low-level JLPTs. Some vocab/grammar aren’t even taught yet dammit.

I’m not awaiting the arrival of Dec. 3rd, I’m dreading it. :)
Level 2 BTW. And I’m gonna fail like no one else in the history of the Universe. They’ll name the new unit of failure after me.
The kanji/vocab and the listening parts are so-so, but the last part, the reading/grammar seems really hopeless. There aren’t enough time.
The bad thing with this JLPT (both Level 1 and 2) is that they don’t test your ability to use the language in real-life situations, they require the knowledge of some never used, archaic and confusing grammar instead.

kikuchiyo, I’m also taking JLPT L2 on Dec 3.
I’d say that the JLPT to anime watchers is somekind of identity.
Where it prove me how much we can see from the raws.

it seems that, according to http://www.jcss.org.sg/jlpt.html , the first 180 registrants for JLPT 1 will be taking the test at JCS. Apparently, if you register first you get a “better” test venue?

I’m awaiting December 3rd as well! =) I’ll be taking Level 4 this time, though I’m pretty sure I could pass Level 3 since I’ve been studying Japanese for about two years. I actually just wrote a post about the JLPT on my blog as well ^^

How is that test anyways~? I think I’d do alright on everything but kanji. I only know about 500.
