Yay!! The first anime adaptation of Kanon!… right?

R.I.P Toei. You are not dead but you have been forgotten.
So anyway, the first Kanon DVD is out! Well, it’s not supposed to be out till 1 Jan but who cares about the official release date, right?
That said, Kyo-Ani’s Kanon is great. And it’s not because of Yuuichi. Mai has got to be the best Yukarin role ever next to Ichigo from the Onegai series.

Hmm, Kyo-ani’s adaption is great… but the Toei one will always have a place in my heart, being one of the first anime I saw it left a big crying depression on me for weeks :P

Kyo-Ani ftw! Maybe people will remember Toei when the Clannad movie is out, though. There seems to be some progress on that front (“storyboard reaching completion” says Dezaki). Not that the AIR movie was all that impressive, but still.
