No more JLPT!
The results for the 2006 Japanese Language Proficiency Test are out. It’s official: NO MORE JLPT FOR DM EVER AGAIN! YAY! I passed JLPT level 1! WOOHOO! I am now officially qualified to look down on lousy fansubbers and stir up intarweb doramas.

I scored 335/400 overall with the breakdown as follows:
Vocabulary: 69/100
Listening: 90/100
Reading & Grammar: 176/200
I was 8 points short of my goal of 343. For the record, I scored 381 for JLPT 3 in 2004 and 362 for JLPT 2 in 2005. I did quite badly for the vocabulary section. I guess this is what I get for being too lazy to memorize kanji.

blah, I still haven’t gotten mine back. Of course, I only took level 3 since I didn’t want to bother studying for anything this year, so I’m not terribly worried about my results…

I passed too.
I got 303/400.
Vocabulary: 72/100
Listening: 80/100
Reading & Grammar: 151/200

I would love to have scores like yours lol
But I barely passed JLPT Level 3, though I haven’t seen yet the breakdown of my scores ^_^;
I think I won’t be taking Level 2 this year, and I don’t know if I will still have the enthusiasm to take it to Level 1 in the years to come. So I won’t ever be ‘officially qualified to look down on lousy fansubbers and stir up intarweb doramas.’ Darn.

yay, 386 on level 3 without studying! now that I actually have a feel for the test, I guess I should get crackin’ on my kanji so I’ll be able to pass level 2 next time around…
