Korean music video rips off FF7:AC
Anyway, Korean pop artiste Ivy recently had a music video “Temptation of Sonata” banned from TV because it ripped off recreated a scene from Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children without Square’s consent. Here’s a comparison made by some bored person:
You can also view the original music video here.
It’s actually a pretty cool live action recreation. Too bad the music is terrible. Beethoven is spinning in his grave. Those crazy Koreans.

P.S. Okay, so it appears that I’ve been posting nothing but YouTube videos recently. It’s purely coincidental. Really.

I found the song catchy, BUT… I still find it crappy not to mention a I went WTF, Mozart might just kill that Ivy person. Either way, that video rocks (Excludes the music) boy… Either way I’d still chose the Animation over the live-action… XD…

Hah the song sucks…you’d think they be at least smart enough to change the costumes or some of the action…but nope…it was completely the same. I must say though its a nice live-action recreation of the scene…ah well.

The really hilarious thing? She’s not even half as pretty as Tifa. And I think when AC fans who watch that video [scrap that, not even AC fans, just people who have watched THAT scene in AC] will know how much she looks like crap next to the original.
Pretty sad if an MV is well…supposed to promote the artiste. LOL.

the music was terrible. I want to go back to Korean and slap anyone that I see listening and liking this “music.” Not only that but the MV was a horrible representation of what was the song even said (lyrics were nothing deeper than an imprint of a needle in sand).
other than that, I’m not a sensitive person but if you would like to comment on the music video, please to not use a general term such as “Koreans” but rather IVY or whatever else you are testifying. As for the defense of Koreans, it is not only Koreans who slaughter great original classics…

Thanks for the backup, korockid! :D
Ha I’d actually have to agree that Koreans like to rape classical music, though.
Don’t even know if one could even call it “music” in the first place.
There’s this one pop/rock/bullshite song that they like to play on loop at my gym. It has very little musical value at all, and has the singer screaming “AVE MARIAAAAAAAA!!! AVE MARIAAAAA!!!” which is more than a little annoying. Fortunately, the same gym also likes to play those fantastic Barbie songs. Nice.
Anyways, the thing is that Koreans in general like to copy just about everything, b/c there just aren’t any consequences for doing so. It’s easy to see absolutely fugly Pokemon and Disney character knockoffs on just about every stationary item. Most of the most popular Korean cars copied their designs from the Honda Accord (the Hyundai Sonata) and a bunch of Mitsubishi’s (all the Samsung’s SM class trash). No one gets in trouble b/c no one seems to care, or notice it’s illegal.
It’s nice to see the video in the article has its share of Asian metrosexuals. No wonder cologne sales are dying, while women’s perfume sales are sky-rocketing in this country.

If this were a cosplay AMV, it would’ve been really awesome. Alas…it’s a ripped piece disguised as an MTV.

this song wasn’t “ripping” it off, it had the disclaimer written on the bottom of the mv…duhh all of like asia would know if korea ripped off japanese FF7
the song is horrible though

Actually it was. It was taken off the air because of it.
Just because you gave credit doesn’t excuse you from not obtaining permission in the first place.

I’m Korean but I don’t rape classical music, in fact I’ve won awards and my sister got accepted into Yale, USC, Boston University, and Juilliard for being a pianist!! *cries tears of sadness* T_T…okay I’m not all that sad just kinda offended by the conception ALL Koreans are…like that. You guys are using the term “Koreans” in every single sentence, and generalizing the entire race :/
