Package from Amazon
What is wrong with the picture below, other than its terrible camera phone picture quality?

Hint: this is as far as the door opens.
Answer lies after the break.

Basically, the postman has access to a back panel from which he can slot things into any of the mailboxes in the same section. The package happened to be just the right size to fit into one compartment but he didn’t take into consideration of the piece of metal sticking out from the back of the front access panel. And if you had ordered from Amazon before, you would know that the packaging they use is considerably rigid…
I did manage to take it out in the end. But it wasn’t pretty.

I thought the box was grinning, “HA you can’t pull me out now, lolololol”

Hilarious.

Missed out on a golden chance to guess DM’s address

“what was in the box?”
the fact you asked that means you need to think about your blogger a bit more… (hint - look inside the box you typed the message in)
Im expecting mine at work tomorrow. Hopefully, this time they wont send it to me in the triangular box they sent the Haruhi Volume 2 LE inside of…
(Results of their sending method)

For those worrying, nothing was squished inside… The box is mostly fine now…

My own mailbox is also like that and I feel your pain. That hasn’t happened yet but it’s been close.
October 2nd, 2007 at 9:35 pm
Haha. Ouch man.
Well, at least yours arrived. My first Amazon purchase is now proudly government property T_T.

Oh yeah but it’s not the postman’s fault. Amazon boxes have been known to expand upon contact with atmospheric hydrogen dioxide, so it is no surprise a mere courier wouldn’t be aware of the quirks of modern physics.
October 2nd, 2007 at 11:30 pm
atmospheric hydrogen dioxide? what’s that?
you mean dihydrogen oxide right? (i.e water H2O)
October 2nd, 2007 at 11:31 pm
Haha tj han, I guess you are right.
Does it mean that we can request the town council for bigger letterboxes?
So DM is that thing in good condition or is it damaged?

I got my haruhi limited V3 from overstock and it came in a while ago…. sadly I haven’t been home so I can’t watch it *sob sob*……… I can understand why they put the metal bar there….. but it seriously is oversized 8Þ…….. wouldn’t it’ve been so much easier to ask someone who worked there about the situation or was that even possible?

its overbuild to stand abuse/prolonged usage i guess. and its part of the design to not allow junk/spam mail into your mailbox. personally i love it because i used to have loads of junk mail.
basically there are two types. the one which dm has and the one which i have.
dm has the panel at the back while mine has it in front on the same side.
