Package from Amazon
What is wrong with the picture below, other than its terrible camera phone picture quality?

Hint: this is as far as the door opens.
Answer lies after the break.

Basically, the postman has access to a back panel from which he can slot things into any of the mailboxes in the same section. The package happened to be just the right size to fit into one compartment but he didn’t take into consideration of the piece of metal sticking out from the back of the front access panel. And if you had ordered from Amazon before, you would know that the packaging they use is considerably rigid…
I did manage to take it out in the end. But it wasn’t pretty.

R1? Why not R2? Or did you already have the R2 ones and are now spending even more money on the R1s? Wow, rich dude. I’m satisfied with just my own R2 Haruhi genteibans.
But yeah tough luck on Mr Postman.

Oh and to add on, I’m not sure how u forced the thing out, but I think a good way would be to use a sharp penknife, a pair of scissors, some skill and patience. Although your neighbors may look at you funny while walking by, but once you spend some time in cutting out a hole (carefully of course), you can just pull out the dvd and bubble wrap before yanking out the empty box.

Heheh…It’s Funny ^.^
How did you get it out then? brute force?

Haruhi R1 Limited Edition Vol.3 — $44.99
Standard International Shipping — $4.99
Discovering that the package got stuck in the mailbox — PRICELESS
LOL~ Thank goodness i have never experienced that before. I usually use Vpost when i order stuffs from overseas. Not to mention that some Amazon marketplace merchant don’t ship overseas.

My Amazon JP orders always arrive at my doorstep, not in my mail box.

I prefer standard shipping. I actually like it when the parcel fits into the mailbox because I always miss the deliveries and have to go to the post office to collect them otherwise.
But usually they don’t put packages that size into the mailbox…
And DHL, which Amazon JP uses, is a bitch when it comes to a missed delivery. You either find the time to be at home to receive the package or you go to some remote industrial area to look for their warehouse.

Ouch, that R2 limited edition episode 00 was selling hot like pancakes when it was out. I almost didn’t get it because I hesitated to preorder it, and before I knew it no more stock in the usual sites: Amazon, CDJapan, HMV.
But I was lucky I managed to grab it off YesAsia. Ducking expensive but I guess it was worth it.

That package is actually smirking at it being snugly fit into the mail box and at you being unable to take it out.

Dun feel too bad. My R1 Haruhi Box 3 came like that also. Worse part is the LE box came slightly squashed…. The horror upon discovering it cannot be described

Were you on TF2 earlier on?

I learned long ago to stop ordering from Amazon JP after they cancelled standard shipping. Don’t you know there are other sites that ship from Japan that charge lower prices than Amazon even with shipping included?

Hiya DarkMirage. I’ll probably have to crack my head trying to figure out how to take that package out of the letter box, right after I laugh my head off.
I wonder why they did not deliver the package to your home.
I received my Haruhi Volume 3 LE last Saturday. Luckily the postman came when I just reach home from work. The LE box was a lil squashed though but the damage isn’t that bad.
By the way do you get most of your DVDs from Amazon? I’ve been getting mine from YesAsia but Amazon already have Vol 4 for pre-order. Was wondering if I should pre-order from Amazon this time round.
Cheers
