EOY Cosplay 2007 @ Expo
This year’s end-of-year cosplay event was once again held at the Singapore Expo. I dropped by for a bit to take some photos.
Pictured above is the best cosplay of the whole event, according to me. Rei does exist in real-life.
I arrived at the Expo quite late and didn’t stay for very long, but I still had to pay the $12 entrance fee. I really should have applied for the media pass, but I wasn’t sure if I was going and also I’m lazy.
I did get even by paying them with a $5 Brunei note which is actually legal tender in Singapore due to the fixed one-one exchange rate, but the plan backfired on me because I had to wait while they confirm the validity of the note.

I’m using Canon EOS 400D with a Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 lens. As you can see from some of the Dynames cosplay pictures (taken with the internal flash), I really need a Speedlite.

OMG IT’S REALLY REI!!! IN REAL LIFE!!! *HYPERVENTILATES*
Anyway, this year’s EOY standard seems to have improved from last year’s, or so I heard. I wouldn’t really know since I was not present at EOY 2006.
Nevertheless, nice photos.
And I just realised I was in the background of a photo. LOL

I wanted to go!! *sulks* But in the end I didn’t manage to be there due to a series of unfortunate events…
Oh well, the pictures look good. I’m particularly impressed by Dynames and Link’s ears. The Ouran couple would be very Moe, if Mori didn’t look like someone I know…. -__-

Weren’t there 2 Rei at Cosfest earlier this July? But this Rei sure looks very, very vulnerable. <3

Azu: It was a new plastic note. It’s not really racist, just that most people have never seen it before and are afraid of getting cheated. This makes it less convenient to use and thus less used, creating a vicious cycle.

Yeah, Gundam Dynames seems to be the slickest one there.
And LOL at the Kona-clones. If they had actually got their little sisters to cosplay as many many Konatas….total Konarmy ^^

I was there the whole day. Got over 200+ photos. Yeah and a whole chunk of Dynames’.
Maybe I will dress as Tieria next year.

I was there too. My friend was cosplaying as Vash the stampede though it was not that popular anymore. There were alot of ouran and trinity blood costumes too other than the standard flood of naruto and bleach chara not to forget the group of higurashi charas and rozen maiden, all the persocoms from chobits and the kick ass dynames. Where were you? Was kinda hoping to run into you at the event(which started at 12)
