Code Geass R2 — Episode 16

Episode 16 is a delightful episode because Kallen gets to kick ass and C.C. has transformed into a Mikuru-class moé powerhouse. *Puppy eyes* Well, there are various other interesting happenings in this episode too, but I think we should all pay much respect to the amount of effort spent by Sunrise in animating C.C.’s shy disposition to adorable perfection.
Summary

The United Federation of Nations is officially formed, spanning most of Asia and great portions of Europe and Africa. The member states renounce all rights to the maintenance of military power, and all matters which require military force are voted upon to be delegated to the independent Order of the Black Knights.

Zero is the CEO
This is a rather convenient arrangement for Zero, and I guess it means that existing armies are to be integrated into the Black Knights, since I don’t think the existing ragtag band of former terrorists is anywhere close to being resourceful enough to protect such a huge patch of territory. The first motion passed by the nearly formed supernational body is a request for the Black Knights to liberate Japan.

Being number ten, he clearly has an inferiority complex
Britannia mobilizes its military in preparation for an invasion of Area 11 by the Black Knights. In particular, Knight of One Bismarck Waldstein and Knight of Ten Luciano Brandli have been dispatched to Area 11, which means that there are now five Knights in Tokyo. However, the Emperor has gone missing, presumably still trapped in the funky floating platform place, and they can’t declare war without his approval.

kamu~
C.C. is all cute and innocent now. After losing all her memories of being old and cranky, she’s now Lelouch’s willing sex slave. It’s like in Chobits—which incidentally is by CLAMP—except that, unlike Chii, C.C. is actually anatomically correct. (Probably.) Vulnerable C.C. will surely prove to be great doujinshi material for the coming Comiket.
Thoughts
Cute C.C. is cute.
The whole UFN thing reeks of corruption and cronyism, but apparently none of the member nations pay much attention to the fine print in the constitution. The Federation theoretically has no military power, so the member nations have to trust the Black Knights to defend them. Despite the apparently democratic nature of the supernational government, the Black Knights itself is basically a totalitarian organization and its high ranking members are all hand-picked by its unelected leader, Zero.

Brainwashing the masses with loli propagandists
The vote to retake Japan is also quite a sham, since Kaguya is the one who calls for it and she’s a little girl. Who can say no to a loli pleading for you to help save her homeland from evil Britannian paedophiles? Not to mention that a good majority of the current Black Knights are Japanese soldiers, so it’s not like the vote would’ve changed their minds either way.
Other than that, this is mostly a build-up episode and we shall have to wait to see how the invasion unfolds.

This thing sucks.
What is that on the screen? There’s no words there!
What? “I” “am” “wrong”? What does that mean?
We’ll do it live.
Is it just me or is Geass starting to not make much sense? UFN seems to be a little bit over the top. Who in their right mind is going to trust the defense of a nation to a bunch of Japanese nationalists under the leadership of a freak who never takes off his mask? Please don’t tell me Zero geassed everyone who disagreed.
When did the BK ever get so powerful in the first place? If India’s military support was so formidable, you’d have thought they’d have conquered everyone else already, or already declared independence like they wanted to do.
No wonder Lelouch conquered the world so easily. Everyone in Geass has to be an idiot.
July 28th, 2008 at 12:36 am
You just gotta love the nice trick they used to kept some Milly’s screentime in store : while we watch Code Geass, they watch Miss Ashford. On a side note, with Milly not physically available they must upgrade some boobs size.
“No one wants Australia” was supposed to be Code Geass original title ^^ then they realized there were no kangaroo in the story. Bismark is mad cause he cannot appreciate Journey to the Center of Earth. I want Kallen as a secret character for Street Fighter 4.
July 28th, 2008 at 12:46 am
I certainly hope that we can see some increased screen time between Milly and Lelouch in the next upcoming episodes. It’s long overdue.
July 28th, 2008 at 12:50 am
It’d be hell to be that pink nation in the middle…
…I thought Milly was a weather reporter…
July 28th, 2008 at 12:54 am
Why do I find the screen shot of Millay so amusing?
July 28th, 2008 at 12:59 am
Amagad, I can’t wait for subs. D:
July 28th, 2008 at 1:13 am
Kallen’s boobs are bigger each ep I swear.
July 28th, 2008 at 1:23 am
was wondering how c.c was going to be in this episode, just gota wait for sub to come out now T_T , and lol at the to play us out video.
July 28th, 2008 at 1:30 am
It looks like Milly Ashford will be around. With all else, Milly and Kallen are going to go after Lelouch. One way or another. Milly is not going to go away!!!!
July 28th, 2008 at 1:43 am
^-^
July 28th, 2008 at 1:56 am
Brittania is in deep shit now, if Suzaku changes sides I will stop watching this show
“She will die within three episodes” so true
July 28th, 2008 at 2:00 am
first? , this thing got me all confuzed how did the emperor get to talk to lelouch from the other world or something??
July 28th, 2008 at 2:09 am
27th! :P.
I loved this episode. C.C. is extremely cute and I might have just thought this but Lelouch seemed to show alot more compassions then as per usual.
July 28th, 2008 at 2:14 am
australia is neutral wasn’t it mentioneddd in… something. makes me wonder why its neutral though. maybe they have a bomb too. >>
July 28th, 2008 at 2:21 am
o_O;
Rolo has teh glasses =O
July 28th, 2008 at 3:29 am
ALL HAIL BRITANIA!
I was waiting for Charles to make his apperance as grand as possible. And hacking into Lelouch´s transmit and answer him was just so damn nice :)
A softer Lelouch than ever. Wonder what the fuckup Suzaku will do next ep. CC without memories is moe.
But she should become like her old self(no pun intended) instead of this slave girl. Her reaction to pizza was priceless though.
Man, need it to be next week NOW so I can watch the next ep. Kallen´s combo was nice. Really nice. Wonder when she´ll escape.
July 28th, 2008 at 3:43 am
Crap, when will the english sub come out…I can’t argue with people unless I’ve actually seen the episode.
I refuse.
July 28th, 2008 at 3:44 am
I hear that.
July 28th, 2008 at 3:46 am
C.C. is <3, lulu you meanie.. but i guess that scene was necessary to show all the blockheads that didnt get it from last ep that she is mortal now.
Suzaku getting beat up by Kallen was nice too ^^
gg sub is out since 1 hour already :P
July 28th, 2008 at 4:03 am
I know the subs are out but none of them are uploaded yet. I don’t download/torrent things, I watch them online. M’kay? And if it is online I don’t want to hear it because I only watch it on one site.
July 28th, 2008 at 4:37 am
then dont ask when its coming out when all that keeps you from watching it is your viewing preference :P
July 28th, 2008 at 4:39 am
O_o why?
Couldn’t help but go “YOU BASTARD!” when he knocked her over. She’s trying to be nice, giving him the last slice of her loved pizza and he bitch slaps the plate so hard it shatters. :( What a twat.
“Shoryuken!” would have also been a viable caption.
Suzaku’s not changing sides, he’s gonna whine at Lelouch for a while, then ‘forgive him’, go back to Britannia so he’s in place for the climactic final mecha clash of the series.
Next episode (preview wise) is mecha combat fun, with Lucciano, Bismarck and Jeremiah taking part at the very least. Lelouch is buggering off to play nice with Suzaku in the shrine (Why are they both in their school uniforms?)
Also, while I liked how Suzaku asked the exact same question I did. “Why would the Emperor Geass Anya?” Made me happy. =D Now I’m off for a game of DotA or two.
July 28th, 2008 at 4:43 am
Bill O’Reilly Flips Out video is awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just burst out laughing
July 28th, 2008 at 5:15 am
Cornelia was wanting to ask who took her usual kick ass coat. However, I would like to thank whoever did take it.
July 28th, 2008 at 5:55 am
I loled at this episode. That lady who you said would die within 3 episodes is just like the token black guy from G00. Lets just hope she doesn’t outlive her required air time too.
July 28th, 2008 at 6:05 am
NOOOO… That’s not true, Australia is… useful… NOT.
We’re too far away from the other landmasses to be any use in an invasion. If we wanted to attack anyone, they’d realise before we’re even halfway there… Not exactly a useful scramble point. But then, why is New Zealand taken? There even more useless than us! D:
…maybe Australia is where it all began.
July 28th, 2008 at 6:08 am
That dress is shaping them rather nicely I would say. <3
I couldn’t help laugh at Luciano…”Vampire of Britannia” [insert stereotype] -_- He looked cool though. I swear, they ripped Metal Gear Solid off.
I cannot believe you did not place a screenshot of Milly in her penguin suit. xD
Lloyd is <3!
Only shirley wears them. =O

Code GEASS ep 16 is now on VEOH, watch it now before the damned copyright law takes it away!

I believe that Cornelia has won the boob wars. =O
July 28th, 2008 at 6:20 am
so basicaly this fight between father and son became a World War!!!…talk about blowing things out of proportion… And lelouch is the new Hitler, only germany won the previous war and it’s on the other side
July 28th, 2008 at 6:29 am
I CAN HAS CHEEZEBURGERZ!!!
omfg i almost pissed myself
GO KALLEN!!!!
i’m gonna have to watch it again and analyze it this time..it’s hard to analyze it the first time, cuz I keep wanting to get caught up in the MOMENT!
wondering HOW Kallen knows Luciano…it’s possibly personal, but it’s also possible that he’s just famous in certain rings of society.
C.C. is so adorable I could cry!!
They’re FINALLY getting to some in-series questioning of Anya’s memory problems >.>
Lots of one sentence notes eh?
I’LL BE BACK
July 28th, 2008 at 6:45 am
psh, did you see Kallen’s in that dress? Heeeewge!
This sentence is so full of utter fail and causes so much facepalming I just…to point out the ways in which you are horrifically mistaken would take eternity twice over. Well, that’s an exaggeration, but it’d take longer than I’m willing to spend on it.
July 28th, 2008 at 7:00 am
“WTF? Does she ever remove her headpiece?”
I don’t think so, she even wore it under her mask when she was faking Lelouch :P
July 28th, 2008 at 7:04 am
Told ya…i’m back to…LOL at “Oh yes, why don’t you turn your clothes inside out and sing while dancing on one leg”..”Yes Master.”
and also, toward the beginning in the throne room, are ALL those people princes/princesses?
and also also, wonder exactly what Orange-kun said to Guilford..
and what did Suzaku say to get Kallen to beat his ass >.> (thanks for saying it!)
aannnddd did anyone else notice how the pizza crust completely disappeared into C.C.’s mouth…
AND:::Kallen keeps comparing Lelouch to Naoto…crap
NINA! you racist, conniving bitch! gah! just die already! and thanks Lloyd for the epic foreshadowing
does anyone else notice the similarity b/t Whitey Loli and V.V.’s voices? or do they have the same seiyuu’s and im just late?
Ogi was just like BAM “I’m here!”
poor Rivalz…all he has left is the Pizza Hut box…. :O
LOL @ “Internal Cleaning Spare Officer: Tamaki Shinichirou”
and why was Rakshata the first one to mention Kallen…Ogi was like “oh right…sure”
so THAT’s what the Emporer meant by “there is only one human”, “Brittania and what is not Brittania, the winner gets the whole world”
I’m also wondering…Lelouch has his Geass uncovered in front of C.C. a lot, but nothing seems to happen :O wonder what that means
i GUESS that (in the preview) since Suzaku shows Lelouch the lapel pin(?) Euphie gave him, he may reveal the details about her death, and how it became an accident
July 28th, 2008 at 7:17 am
I know! But unlike Cornelia, who I think we’ll be seeing with that outfit for the remainder of the series, I don’t think Kallen plans to keep the dress, we don’t know how much her boobs will “shrink” when she changes clothes.
“Are you bad enough to rescue the princess?”
He apologized for planning to use Refrain on her.
Soooo many comments, all omitted. :)
From the signs, Kallen has a sibling infatuation like Lelouch, so that might not be a bad thing. :p
July 28th, 2008 at 7:19 am
Just finished watching episode 16, it was awesome. It made me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
Anyways…I WAS RIGHT! The emperor used his geass on Anya!!! Although the reason is still unknown, dude to the fact that they are mentioning it now (15 episodes after she made her debut) means she’s gonna play some pivotal role in the last few episodes, possibly related to the big Marianne question.
On another count, who doesn’t agree with me that C.C. can finally end up with Lelouch, I mean, just listen to what they were saying after he got angry and smashed the plate. Also, notice she cared enough about Lelouch to notice he didn’t eat breakfast and she saved a slice for him (the old C.C. never did that). Personally, I don’t think she has the mind of a ten year old, also know that ten year olds back in the Dark Ages were more exposed to the world than ten year olds of today, besides, C.C. seems to have begun to trust Lelouch faster then expected, and she cares about him.
As for the new recurring character…I think Rolo is gonna fuck something up again (i.e. killing Asahina and that other dude). Rolo is gonan be the one that makes sure that information of the operation doesn’t leak, though I think Chiba is gonna start thinking that Rolo knows who Zero is. Btw, Rolo isn’t gonna die for awhile, get used to him.
Also, the Emperor revealed himself as being back way too early for my tastes, but it still fit in rather well, though I am wondering, if the emperor is at all smart why doesn’t he tell the black knights who Zero is? After all the theory is that if they know that he is the enemies countries prince, the Black Knights will fall apart. I think Tohdoh noticed that Zero is afraid of the Emperor, that might have something to do with what happens later on. They also seem to be showing alot more of the relationship between Chiba and Tohdoh, I’ve known for a long time that Chiba was enamoured with Tohdoh (it even says that on wikipedia) but it seemed really one-sided till now, Tohdoh is getting quite a bit more screentime with Chiba (i.e. makeup scene and the room scene).
I’m still laughing at how Kaguya and Tianzi were doing the announcements, they’re loli’s for gods sake!
No Villetta? Hmm, my spoiler source said she was alive, as well as Ougi…if Ougi is alive then so should Villetta but then why does Diethard seem to have something up his sleeve, and why do I get the feeling Diethard knows more about Zero than he is let on to know, i.e. Sayoko agreeing to tail Ougi at his request.
I think Guilford is gonna betray Brittannia, The whole thing with Jeremiah calling him was probably to let him know stuff about Cornelia. Notice Guilford never says “My loyalty is to Brittannia,” he says “My loyalty is to my princess!” which suggests when he finds out Cornelia is a prisoner he is gonna go and find her, not unlike how Viletta went after Ougi except he is gonna try and save her and not try and kill her like Viletta did. I sense CorneliaxGuilford, though I think he’s gonna admit his love for her similar to how Euphemia admitted to Suzaku, in the middle of a battlefield when the latter is about to die.
Nah, there has to be some sort of deeper meaning to that. Something related to Marianne I bet.
He also asked her to join Brittannia again. The reason she kicked his ass was so that he’d give the order to execute her as for raising a hand against a Knight of Rounds, of course, he didn’t. Suzaku seems less evil now.
Ok, I gotta go rewatch the episode 2 or 3 more times so I can catch each and every little detail that goes on. Wish me luck.
July 28th, 2008 at 7:26 am
It hasn’t been proven that the Emporer used his Geass on Anya, just put out there by Suzaku. And if he did, wouldn’t it go away now that he’s actually lost his Geass? More mysteries >.>
July 28th, 2008 at 7:35 am
Definitely too many similarities going on between CG characters right now.
Hell, Lulu will probably lose everything in a tragic Romeo-and-Juliet-esque style =( He’s already lost his hot accomplice C.C., (I would expect soon) his identity as Zero, poor innocent Shirley, so everything seems to point that there’s more to lose.
The message between Orange and Guilford seems to be pretty obvious in my mind: “We have cookies, I mean Cornelia. Join us.” And then Lelouch will Geass both of them, and send them off to wander into space…
I wonder what Bismarc meant when he said to Lucian to save his tricks for the battlefield. Vampire Knightmare Frame anyone?
And I bet you Sayoko and Diethard have taken Viletta hostage, and won’t kill her if Ohgi cooperates. This shady thing will probably be exposed by someone soon enough, and the whole OoTBK will come crumbling down.
The Charles scene was perfect. Random interruption, followed by maniacal madman speech. Insults not included. Schneizel freaked out, so I think we can all safely assume he wants to be the top dog.
July 28th, 2008 at 7:37 am
Well, at least we finally learned the names of the 3 OL on the ship. I’d like to predict that Todo dies before his cute subordinate. The “sexy oneesan” type comes with sturdy character shields in this series ex. Villeta and Cornelia. For men, the older you look the less screen time your death gets. Example: the Sumeragi clan head and the old general with a creepy growth in his head. Nobody really seemed to care…Kaguya even seemed a bit happy.
I was surprised when Kallen let up on Suzaku. Whatever happened to that cute redhead who tried to stab the two leads? This just occurred to me but who the hell designed her prison cell? Is she fucking Magneto? Did the Brits happen to have a giant clear glass cell on hand? I suppose it has to do with Nanali’s visits, but I mean it’s not like Nanali can see her anyway. Why not just put her in a sweet room and give her a phone? I guess it follows the same logic as giving a prisoner a tray of food but forgetting to remove their gag (Seriously, they’ve done that). Still, I pity Rivalz. Not only does he get stuck with a terrible name, his true love is clueless, and all his friends have left town. He is now the only active member of the student council.
Anya’s story seems to be getting more interesting. We can she’s not a Geass-giver like V.V. since the Emperor can alter her memories. We’re left with a creepy little girl who apparently lacks any sort of common sense…and that strange scene with C.C. I really hope her mind-wiped stories aren’t foreshadowing for a twist ending where Marianne isn’t dead, Nanali opens her eyes to reveal Geass, and the inevitable third season.
P.S. Didn’t Ougi get pierced by several ninja weapons and fall off a cliff? Are we going to get another ninja moment soon?
July 28th, 2008 at 8:10 am
“I’m sorry Guilford, but your princess is in another castle!”
No, because otherwise Rivalz and Milly would both have the Rolo/Nunnally memory change removed, and we’ve seen no evidence of that. We haven’t seen it proved that it was the Emperor’s geass, but it is likely. If it is the Emperor’s, what I’m most interested in is that she’s still losing memories and still getting flashes of memory. Like an ongoing trade of things. She even says “Some of the data doesn’t match my memories.” which means she started the diary because she lost some memories, then her memories continued to change. Either re-geassing (possible, we don’t know if the Emperor can do that or not) or it’s going somewhat haywire. And either way, we still don’t have a reason for him to geass Anya, which Suzaku points out.
I dunno, it still seems pretty one-sided from where I’m sitting. Chiba was all “Got something to ask you when this is all over.” and Tohdoh looked all apprehensive and looked away, rather than looking up at her. Says to me that his heart’s not in it, and that he doesn’t feel the same way.
I was wondering about this too. She seemed fine with the fact that there was electric lighting and this plush, lovely room, she even sees him at his computer. Yet she’s surprised at the TV. Probably a fault of the writing staff more than a point concerning her memory, but it’s like she’s selectively forgotten some points. You know how people with amnesia still generally know which side the fork goes on, how to count, speak etc.? It’s like that, she’s forgotten about some things (T.V.) but knows about computers and electric lighting. And as you said, she trusts Lelouch very quickly. I’d prefer her to be a selective amnestic (Hah, I finally got that word into a ‘normal’ conversation) than have her mind reverted to that of a 10 year old.
I think you mean former, as opposed to latter. Latter means that Suzaku died, which isn’t…well. I’m going to take that as typo on your part.
July 28th, 2008 at 8:12 am
The symbolism with the chess board sure is interesting. Especially, the black king being bloody and lots of toppled pieces.
July 28th, 2008 at 8:20 am
Sigh at people posting while I am writing :P Nunnally gets a geass and opens her eyes in the spinoff manga, Nightmare of Nunnally, though it’s not a canon story and it’s a strictly side thing which isn’t connected to the anime. If they did it in the manga, I don’t think they’d do it for the anime too, specifically because it was in an unconnected spinoff manga.
(read the summary for said manga at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nunnally_Lamperouge#Nightmare_of_Nunnally if you want)
She was in a normal cell until Nunnally turned up wanting a chat. And it’s anime, they have to do things all showy like. Having a giant pit with only one thin bridge and no railings seems kinda dangerous though. What if someone slips? :s
Plot twist: Rivalz, all along was…MARIANNE IN DISGUISE! GASP!
(I don’t actually think that, before anyone starts accusing me of stupid, unfounded theories.)
July 28th, 2008 at 8:21 am
One thing to say to you. This is anime, they wouldn’t even mention a small detail like that unless it meant something. If it didn’t matter then Suzaku wouldn’t have thought “The emperor’s geass?” Seriously, think about how this doesn’t connect to real life and how small speech details when people say stuff actually have importance (while most animated details don’t, notice people were going off on Lelouch beign immortal since he didn’t put his contact back on, nobody said anything about it in the episode and guess what, Lelouch has his geass…amazing, I was right, again).
I’m hoping for a happy C.C.xLelouch ending, btw WHY IN HELL do people think he’s lost C.C.! WTF! SHE’S STILL THERE AND HE’S STILL ATTACHED TO HER. My goodness, there has been absolutely NO indication WHATSOEVER as to suggest he’s lost her. I will not even respond to any more of these “He’s lost C.C. how sad” comments and anything related to it (i.e. OMFG C.C.’S GONNA DIE WAHHHH). However I will make an exception if you can PROVE IT.
The calling part was obvious, no duh, he’s gonna leave Brittannia to rescue Cornelia or something related to that. But why would Lelouch geass them and let them wander off into space? More like he’ll use them, and also, remember Lelouch only uses his geass when absolutely neccessary.
More like telling them not to fight, thats one of the details in speech thats just too obvious to think deeply about.
It’s entirely possible he has Viletta in custody, I’m just confused as to why they showed Ougi and not Viletta. Hidden meaning? Also (is gonna explode again) WHYdo people think the order of the black knights will collapse! THERE IS NO INDICATION that will happen. NONE…AT ALL. I want PROOF DAMN IT! Spoiler sites please!
Schniezel does want to be top dog, but he’s been disagreeing with the emperor more and more. This of course leads up to when Lelouch reveals his identity to Schniezel in episode 18. I don’t think he’s gonna side with Lelouch, more like ask him to compete for the throne, like whoever wins, gets the crown.
Remember, this is ANIME. When they drawe stuff, they draw it to look cool, not to cause us to think abut what it is and where it’s going, what it’s origin is, etc. It’s supposed to look cool, thats it, don’t overthink it. Also I don’t wanna hear people say I’m contradicting myself because if you say that you haven’t read this post clearly enough. As for Rivalz, thats a cool name, but that’s purely opinional (if that’s a word).
When did we ever think Anya gave geass? Whatever, doesn’t matter. Marianne ending is still unknown, Nunnally opening her eyes to reveal geass would be an awesome twist. Also THERE IS NO THIRD SEASON. God this is another thing I’ve said so many times before, there is no third season. The writer has already written the final episode. Now do not mention it again.
As I said before, it wasn’t major, notice how thinly they penetrated (if at all).
Me?
That’s all for now.
Sponsored by Blok.

If I meant you I’d have said sandslayer :P You’re probably smart enough to recognise that I’m not being serious, however I have to bear in mind I’m dealing with the potentially entire population of the internet, and as we’re both well aware, the vast majority of people have the intelligence of a wombat suffering from cranial intrusion with a pickaxe.
July 28th, 2008 at 10:21 am
You use alot more flowery language than me, I’m usually blunt and to the point…btw I love the whole wombat thing. Anyways, I can’t really respond to much else that I missed before since I got a new book (yay!). Also, the reason I said “Me?” is because of my going off at people who restate left field and completely unproven or supported theories that I’ve already shot down (i.e. MillyxLelouch, though I’m glad that dude stopped posting stuff about them, I will welcome you back when more proof of them becomes available…although a better example would be the C.C. losing her chance because she lost her memories. I clearly said SHE HAS A BETTER CHANCE NOW AND I GOT A REASON FOR IT, whereas you have no reasons…not you amnestic, the other people who were posting that crap about C.C.). Back to my new R.A. Salvatore book (giggles with delight).

I’m surprised you haven’t commented about Nena’s little toy, Freya, yet.
July 28th, 2008 at 12:10 pm
either australia is its own super power now or everyone hates australia. i mean you got new zealand why not australia? it’s only a couple several miles away.
July 28th, 2008 at 12:20 pm
I think it’s neat to see how Sunrise managed to resurrect the series.(Relatively from the heights of the last season). It’s looking more and more juicy and fun. Hopefully the last 8 episodes won’t feel too rushed ._. but that’s my only fear. It looks like it’ll be quality.
The unification of the UNF makes sense up to the point of the disbanding of militaries and the immediate membership of the UN. Zero did manage to grab China’s lands pretty quickly. The small anime plot holes are in how the black knights have managed to recruit and prepare for a war so quickly and how it’s going to make sense that the entire war will be focused over the asian region with no further combat in Europe… I mean are there enough good commanders left?.?

@sandslayer:
I decided to stop posting about the Milly x Lelouch relationship unless there are future episodes that would have them interacting with each other in a private setting.
With regards to proving if Milly has feelings for Lelouch, you should check out the entire R1 season and R2 turn 12, which was her last appearance at Ashford Academy. Concentrate on her episode scenes carefully. The clues are there. However, I could be wrong about the whole thing. Also, check out the Code Geass Sound Episode 5, which talks about Milly and Lelouch meeting for the first time.
For now, I will not post any more Milly and Lelouch pairings.

Did anyone else see what Tamaki’s title was? I forget exactly what it was, but it was something utterly insignificant that made me lol a bit. That whole All Hail Brittania/Nippon Banzai thing at the end sent chills down my spine. Seriously.
July 28th, 2008 at 1:12 pm
I think there’s a possibility that Villeta is pretending to be Oghi, seeing as the meeting is important and it seems like there would be a lot of questions asked if Oghi didn’t attend the UN Ratification. And Apparently it wasn’t Sayoko because she had an alibi.
July 28th, 2008 at 3:54 pm
Um… I have a question…….
It doean’t have much AT ALL to do with this actual episode cuz i haven’t seen it so….
WHERE THE **** CAN I D/L THIS EPISODE SUBBED!?!?!?!?
My regular (realitylapse.com) is late D:<
July 28th, 2008 at 4:15 pm
Tamaki was um… the head of cleaning or sumthing
July 28th, 2008 at 4:25 pm
Well, fast-paced episode was certainly fast-paced. And C.C is so incredibly moe. Lelouch shouldn’t have hit her ;_; Then again, it was interesting to see that he could show a side like that…
Goddammit, looks like ALL the spoilers I read are going to come true. I fear that I know the sequence of main events almost right until the end. D:
And I’m definitely cheering on Kallen.
July 28th, 2008 at 4:30 pm
Ah.. never mind, Tamaki is the internal cleaning supporter… i think.
They really need to kill of that racist whore, Nina. Everyone knows that she was raping the table, looking a photos of Euphy right in front of Nunnally.
July 28th, 2008 at 5:14 pm
Next episode Lelouch will probably reveal the truth behind Euphemia and Shirley’s death. I don’t think Suzuka will be one of the final bosses. The OP seems to place more emphasis on the Emperor and Schneizel. Wait if C.C. memories were reverted then wouldn’t she only respond to her original name? Time for Lelouch to spill the beans and tell us what her real name is. >_>
P.S. Nina HAS to die. If she doesn’t I’ll nuke Sunrise, one way or another. D:
The Hotel Hijacking in Season 1 secured her a #1 place in my hate list. <_<
July 28th, 2008 at 5:26 pm
Oh sorry. Forgot to add. I bet Diethard is holding Viletta hostage. The Emperor probably rapes Anya when she was young but didn’t want to face the charges so he geassed her. I bet they are gonna introduce another Geass contractor sometime soon to balance things up. Also, Asahina will turn traitor. I think Bradley was the one who killed Kallen’s brother. So she better get her revenge later on.
July 28th, 2008 at 8:39 pm
Freya, damned thing…it just amplifies Nina’s craziness…I mean, she expects Suzaku to use it on his own people…why would anyone ask that of someone?
Even in real life, Australia doesn’t really impact major world politics in my understanding, besides, the alternate universe thing probably made so that there were no settlers sent to Australia, it’s probably just Aborigine territory (if thats how you spell that).
Resurrect? I’ve thought it was good since episode 1 (well actually I first started watching code geass when r2 episode 6 came out), so I just think it’s gotten better, not that it’s resurrected.
Small plot holes don’t influence the story much and usually makes it boring when they overexplain every little detail, besides, overthinking small details like this is why people go insane and shoot people.
I’ve been stating most of my theories with MillyxLelouch (not a chance) from the episodes directly, I’ve only seen 2 of the audio dramas (the one with the girls argueing over how Lelouch could beat Suzaku in a sport and episode 12.55, when Shirley is thinking those crazy thoughts about Lelouch while asking herself how she could ask him out, personally I found them hilarious). If you can provide an english translated version of that audio drama I’d be happy to watch it.
It had something to do with cleaning…it was probably just to get a few laughs.
I’m thinking more along the lines of prisoner but we won’t know till the other episodes air.
He was just frustrated and scared, I actually found that scene touching, the new C.C. seems to really care about him, and he didn’t hit her on purpose, he was just angry.
I love spoilers, tell me what they are…now!
And I’m definitely cheeering on C.C.
I have officially condemned your post to the useless and unworthy section of the internet.
Suzaku will probably forgive him and then go back to Britannia, I doubt he’s gonna join the Black Knights unless he starts to see a deeper meaning to things. Damn will they be shocked if they find out a Knight of Rounds (one that’s been fighting them since S1 E2) joins them.
I too wish for her death, but I’m having trouble thinking of a fitting death…who knows maybe she forgives Lelouch? (unlikely) It’s been hinted at that Nina knew Lelouch was a prince so she may know more than let on to know…hopefully not.
Another useless and unworthy comment…I can’t believe I could lose all my respect in a person from a single sentence.
Anyways back to my book.
Page 336/1012
July 28th, 2008 at 10:05 pm
That last part of your comment #58, sandslayer, is obviously a joke.. don’t take everything literally, it makes you look stupid.
Anyways, I think Anya knows a lot about the past, most probably about the murder of Marriane?, that he needs to alter her memories to keep it secret.
Things are getting more interesting now, theres a battle for world domination between 2 sides with every country in it except Australia. But it seems that most battle scenes from here on will take place in Japan.
Those yellow patches are Chinese federation’s territory right?
July 28th, 2008 at 10:43 pm
I know it was a joke smartass, but it was a retarded joke that in no way could possibly amuse me. When I see crap like that I call it stupid, though you may seem to think joking about rape is funny as hell, which surprisingly alot of people seem to think so. Also, explain why saying someone is unworthy of my respect when they say something utterly repugnant makes me look bad? I look forward to your answer though I’ll be thoroughly surprised if you can manage to explain it in a semi-intelligent matter.
On another note:
No, those are independant countires (as well as the pink one, though I’m not sure why it’s pink instead of yellow, possibly yellow stands for the shattered EU?). Either way, who knows and who cares, another minor detail best overlooked.
Page 405/1012…I’m going a bit too slow for my liking.
P.S. I insist…no…I encourage your response wapak, I’m bored and I need a little bit of sport.
July 28th, 2008 at 11:04 pm
In my quest to releive boredom I just noticed something.
That wasn’t a typo. However I should have elaborated. Euphemia contacted Suzaku on the radio thingie during his fight with the chinese in episode…21? or 20, Suzaku knew he was about to die and that was also when Euphie ordered him to love her. Suzaku would have died if the Gawain hadn’t shown up.
What I meant by that relating to Guilford is that after Guilford joins the OotBK, in one of the battles in the show he’s like gonna be close to death and then Cornelia contacts him etc. (or vice-versa).
Hopefully that makes me make a little bit more sense, though knowing me that still doesn’t mean much.
July 28th, 2008 at 11:07 pm
Australia, while being a hole, wouldn’t be ignored like that… Not for those reasons.. Australia’s pretty rich in resources like iron, coal(i believe there is uranium somehwere in the country) etc. And besides land is land, its perfectly good space for SOMETHING.. The most likely reason, i believe, is that Australia was nuked or something of the sort and is now too dangerous to go into.

“the amount of effort spent by Sunrise in animating C.C.’s shy disposition to adorable perfection.”
Sorry to say, but the character designs are by Clamp which is one major reason that some of us watch this show. :D
Btw, did anyone notice the chess pieces and wonder how significant a part they may play in the story? Is that the king chess piece that was stained with blood? and with only 2 other black chess pieces maybe a castle and the other?
Hoping that Lulu be ok at the end of the series. T_T

July 29th, 2008 at 12:27 am
I think the chess pieces are very significant otherwise there would be no point in showing them. The black king (Zero) was stained with blood and only had a rook backing him up. The white king had way more pieces but the white king didn’t appear to be standing. Wonder what it means?
July 29th, 2008 at 12:33 am
Correction
Zero has two knights, a rook, and 2 pawns
July 29th, 2008 at 12:34 am
good point Seguun, i’ll have to go look that up again… (edited after your posts)
July 29th, 2008 at 12:34 am
and a bishop
July 29th, 2008 at 12:36 am
ooh ooh ooh, the two Knights (get it?) are Guilford and Anya, the rook is Kallen, and the 2 pawns are Jeremiah and Rolo (edit: gah..more corrections, the bishop is um…C.C. lol idk)
July 29th, 2008 at 1:01 am
The white side has 3 pawns and a rook.
It also has two pawns, bishops, or combination of the two.
July 29th, 2008 at 1:23 am
what has happened to corneilia’s left arm?
July 29th, 2008 at 1:30 am
Injured when she was attacked from behind during the finale of season 1. The leader of the glaston knights stabbed her knightmare from behind while she was attacking Gawain.
July 29th, 2008 at 1:31 am
here’s what i think of the map:
gray = noone wants
blue = britannia
red = U.F.N
yellow = What’s left of the E.U
pink = … independant? all by itself?
July 29th, 2008 at 3:28 am
Pink = screwed. Take another look at the map to see why.
EDIT: Yay Shiki (Tohno)!
July 29th, 2008 at 3:41 am
Boring episode in contrast to last week’s awesome one but we get to see how things would develope in the future.
I wonder where C.C.’s Code went?
July 29th, 2008 at 6:47 am
Uh guys?
Has anyone ever figured out that Kallen represents the QUEEN piece? I probably think that this has turned into another chess game because it seems to be a game of capturing and recapturing because one side captures, another side sends in the army to recapture and in the process capture more. This will probably eventually escalate into pieces introduced that are higher than queens.
July 29th, 2008 at 7:38 am
Maybe it’s the late times and the diet coke sustaining my state of not sleeping, but your logic seems kinda convoluted. What do you mean by “pieces higher than queens”? In importance, this would obviously be the king. In use tactical versatility and general flexibility as a suppression and power piece, the Queen is unmatched. Kallen’s designation as “Q-1″ made her obvious as the queen piece ever since Lelouch first assigned her to it. I can’t confirm it, but that might have been as early as the first mecha combat sequence (Ep 1? 2? of R1).
See above, late times+steady swigs of diet coke haven’t made my brain the most alert it could be. I get what you mean though. It was my fault for misinterpreting. I had my mind set on Euphemia’s death, as opposed to Suzaku’s brush with it. My bad. Probably coloured by my belief that Cornelia is gonna die soon enough. Executed by one of the Britannian’s (Lucciano is top of the contenders for executioner at the moment) for treason against the crown and treachery against the state when she sided with the Black Knights.
July 29th, 2008 at 9:01 am
He-he, nice heading picture on the top – just noticed this :)))
July 29th, 2008 at 9:11 am
What I am saying is that there may be pieces that may start existing outside of chess. The series is already breaking a couple of rules in order to forward the story. While the Emperor and Lelouch are still duking it out on the chess scale, Schniezel already presents himself as a third side, an idea that does not exist in chess. Also, he is allegedly using a weapon that is greater in power than even either of the aces on both teams, and thus may introduce a piece greater even than the Queen.
July 29th, 2008 at 9:45 am
Regarding the chess pieces, I remember reading that Kallen was called the Black knight, the opposite of Suzaku the white knight. Bishops were Rakshata and Lloyd, Queens were Euphemia and CC…something like that. Of course this completely ignores the fact that there are more than 1 piece of each (w/ the exception of the Queen and King).

July 29th, 2008 at 12:47 pm
Not much I can add on to that…but, yeah he referred to her as Q-1 since episode 1, although (in chess) if someone can get a pawn to the other side of the board it can be “promoted” to any other piece excluding the king. Maybe that dude was referring to having multiple queens? I dunno, probably overthinking(again).
Hey look another post, time to work against the edit clock.
It was my understanding that the game with Schniezel and Lelouch was a variation designed to humiliate Zero (publicly) and help Schnizel gauge his character, notice he says the Emperor would have taken his king without hesitation, also how would introducing new chess pieces have anything to do with the story. The Guren Eight-extremities type apparently is a mixture of Japanese and Brittannian technology that is super overpowered. Lloyd has already built it by this episode and originally planned for Suzaku to use it but it’s just like the Shenhu. Either way, that still qualifies as queen.
Awesome I did it with a minute to spare.
Diet soda gives you cancer.
Doesn’t matter, nobody cares about Suzaku anyways.
Nah, I have a nagging feeling that Cornelia is gonna survive, but I think she’s gonna turn on Lelouch since apparently Lelouch gets in deep shit in episode 19. Guilfords future role intrigues me though.
July 29th, 2008 at 1:03 pm
I’ll believe it when the captured queen is exchanged for a pawn.
July 29th, 2008 at 4:21 pm
Hey did anyone notice that Toudou noticed that Zero backed away when the Emp was ranting? In any case, it was Toudou not Zero that initiated the counter “Nippon Banzai” cheer.
I think there was quite a lot of tension there. Also, the more patriotic fundamental members of Ootbk seem to be unhappy about the way things were being ran. Possible discontentment within the ranks?
July 29th, 2008 at 7:21 pm
Holy shit, that really does remind me of Pizza Hut’s Cheesy Crust Pizza. +1 for Code Geass.

“A 2007 study, published in Annals of Oncology of the European Society for Medical Oncology, reviewed Italian studies of instances of cancer from 1991 and 2004 and concluded a “lack of association between saccharin, aspartame and other sweeteners and the risk of several common neoplasms”.[68]”
Source:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aspartame_controversy#Recently_published_research. Note that it has a citation. Yeah, it’s *possible* that aspartame (the ‘cancer causer’) does cause cancer, but then so does drinking, going out clubbing with my friends who smoke, breathing, sitting in the sun, eating food, etc. etc. etc. Some people who never do any unhealthy stuff get cancer. I’ve heard of stories of people who have smoked from their teen years til they were over 100, and not had a spot of lung cancer. Their lungs weren’t good, but they made it over 100, which is more than a lot of people. What I’m saying is, when someone says “aspartame causes cancer”, bear in mind that that’s a weak interpretation of current evidence. Just look at the fluctuating questions on the topic of red wine. Literally the scientific evidence pointing to benefits/problems switches to the polar opposite sometimes once a year or even more often. It’s silly. I trust the aspartame causing cancer research as much as I trust the “Gaming is an addiction” research. That is to say, none.
/rant
I care about him just long enough for him to get the truth about Anya’s memories out, after that he can take a swift, permanent trip to hell.
Well we’ll have to agree to disagree, can’t really argue more now. Lucciano has a crazy elitist view of people (Gino is a silver-spoon boy), so I’m not sure how he’d react to a Princess betraying them, nevermind a(n ex-?)prince orchestrating the whole thing.
I did notice that Tohdoh noticed, but whether that means anything is to be seen. From the list of rankings, Xingke outranks Tohdoh, which some Japanese loyalists may not like, but if they’re really loyalist to Japan then they’ll be more than happy to go along while they retake Area 11 from Britannia, or try to at least. After that they can either leave the Black Knights and return home, in which case they’ll get ‘normal’ jobs or they could stick with it. I think to have dissent at this point would only be relevant for maybe one episode where they don’t listen to Zero and get royally owned by Britannia, then come crawling back. If it is there, I’m gonna say that it’s gonna come out just before, during and after a mecha combat sequence and not be heard of after that.
July 30th, 2008 at 3:30 am
I was just mentioning that on a passing thought, I’m not about to go and get scientific on your ass. However, I will get psychological on your ass. The reason there is controversy and disagreements in medicine is because these sorts of things affect people differently. One rather well known example is weed. Most addicts think it’s good for them and it doesn’t harm them because for one thing they most likely feel good when their high and also because it affects each person differently (though the first reason is from actual experience and the second reasn is from scientific research, not to say I’ve done weed). Same for smoking and drinking. I know a guy who’d get drunk off a single bottle of beer and one who wouldn’t get drunk if he drank 10 bottles. However, your probably wondering how this ties in with cancer in diet soda. This ties in with that because cancer also affects people differently, just like diseases and drugs. Some people need to be exposed to shitloads of radiation to cause cell mutation, while others are less fortunate and can develope skin cancer merely from being out in the sun too long (though both extremes are rather rare). However compile all that together and you’ll find, I don’t care. I mentioned the diet-soda cancer stuff because it along with 7 other things popped into my mind when I read about you drinking diet coke. 3 of the other 7 things were too naughty to be written down and the other 3 were just random thoughts.
Yay.
Deny if you will, but I totally called that whole thing with Anya. I called that, that was my fricken theory. However one of my sources were false, she didn’t cry in the Ganymede apparently she cried in the Europa, which was another prototype built around the time as the Ganymede (just like the Io). Her connection to Marianne is weakening, oh no! More evidence please.
I hate agreeing to disagree but it looks like we have to. Though i doubt he’s that good of an assassin or they would’ve sent him after Zero (if he’s an assassin at all, he just said he’s a master of murder).
I wanna get back to my book so I’ll make this short. I…I…I ag… oh god damn it this is hard…I agr..I agree. There I said it move along with your life.
Back to my book.
July 30th, 2008 at 5:10 am
Sorry, your comment was the ’straw that broke the camels back’ so to speak. It wasn’t your fault particularly, I’ve had to field people asking why I drink diet coke over regular (I like the taste), but the cancer thing has come up before with other people. This is the one time I decided that I’d actually look into it proper and take a peak at the science. It didn’t help that I’d just got up and so was a bit grouchy.
Also, there’s no such thing as “too naughty to be written down.” I’m curious. What naughty thoughts are in your head? ;o
You did call it. Are the Europa and Io only mentioned in the novels? There’s nothing on the wiki about them, though a quick google has a few passing mentions. The Ganymede owned by Ashford appears to be the only one (Hence why Lloyd was so interested in it) so I was wondering how Anya would have got access to it, as Gino was the one who piloted during the school’s “most giant pizza evar!” festival. If they were built during the same rough time they may have had similar designs to the Ganymede, or at least been similar enough to trigger memories. Her connection to Marianne may still be there!
Maybe not assassinate Cornelia. She betrays Lelouch and comes back to Britannia, but Lucciano kills her anyway for betraying Britannia in the first place, execution style. Assassinate infers that it was done in secret, Lucciano may act under the Emperor’s orders, to prevent the possibility of Cornelia being a double agent under the influence of Lelouch’s geass. Possibly.
July 30th, 2008 at 5:53 am
Does anyone else find it worrying that Lelouch still feels perfectly comfortable cruising around most likely non-immortal C.C. with his permanent, uncontrollable Geass eye exposed? I sense a possible “Oh Shit!” moment coming sometime down the road. Better hope he has Orange-kun on speed dial or things could get pretty messy. Or he might tell her to “Stay in this room and eat pizza” and C.C. will be back to normal.
July 30th, 2008 at 5:59 am
Many things pop into my head, I have the distinct (dis)advantage to constantly think of new things while doing something, say, thinking of new ideas while writing them down. Knowing that, these naughty things were just random thoughts that for some reason or another came into my head when I read the diet coke thing. As for being too naughty to jot down, leave that to your imagination.
Hell yeah I did! And most of the people here didn’t believe me! IN YOUR FACE!
I know for a fact that the Io was mentioned in one of the audio dramas, as for the Europa I have very little information, the three are related though (all are named after celestial bodies, more specifically, moons). The ganymede was the most famous and main prototype, the Europa and Io were less important I guess. I still need a damned reason why the emperor geassed Anya…well most likely it won’t be revealed till later.
Typo?
I thought we already agreed to disagree, neither of us have evidence to support Cornelia dying or surviving (though we have ample reasons and methods). Although your definition of assassin is correct, but it also refers to anyones organized death. Say if my dog hired a scorpion to kill me, that’d be assassination, no matter how it’s done, public or not, though it’s unlikely for that to happen to me.
He can say anything he wants aroudn her as long as he’s careful enough not to give her any commands while looking her in the eye. Lelouch is smart enough to have realized that.
Back to my book:
Page 691/1012
July 30th, 2008 at 6:08 am
Structuring of that paragraph was a bit off, I should have thrown that just before I threw down my definition for assassinate. My bad.
Which is why we need to keep Suzaku around a little longer :(
Ah, you are correct, I concede the point. I still get the feeling that Lucciano is more adept at execution than assassination, if only because of his flamboyant hair (though as Naruto teaches us, ninjas wearing the brightest, least stealthy colours is TOTALLY ACCEPTABLE.)
We don’t know if she can be geassed or not. C.C. seems to be a unique case, never happened before. We have no idea what special powers she may or may not have. She may still be immune to geass for all we know, I don’t think we’ve seen any evidence to prove otherwise. Lelouch probably wouldn’t risk geassing her, but it may come up if Rolo (the wanker) tries to get rid of her for some reason.
July 30th, 2008 at 6:22 am
As painful as THAT is.
Eww, Naruto. Luciano’s character is rather interesting to me, his first appearance was leaning over Anya’s chair in the Knights of Rounds room with a bored look on his face, and after seeing him hunched over in the episode 16 preview I was under the impression that he was kinda like Gino, however, holy crap was I amazed that he was totally different than expected. He’s…fricken…evil, I can feel the evil emanating from that dude. He even tried to kill Suzaku on his first speaking appearance, then was about to finish the job if Bismarcke hadn’t have shown up. He reminds me of Artemis Entreri, if you even know who that is. Either way, his future role is gonna tie in with Kallens apparently, so I’m looking forward to that.
C.C. is a rare case indeed. Apparently losing immortality without dying has never happened before, but I (along with Lelouch I guess) am guessing that losing the code means losing immunity to geass (and we know for a fact now she’s not immortal, thats why he hit her). As for Rolo, I’m guessing he will tie in more with the Asahina part of the story more than the C.C. part of the story. Which leaves me to believe Chiba will soon be the only one of the Four holy swords left.
Urg, I’m tired of reading, tired of Civilization and tired of basically everything on my computor…someone argue with me…I need more cranapple juice.
July 30th, 2008 at 6:41 am
Sand Slayer, nobody likes when u criticize every dam thing ppl post, k?
And the other orange kun is not an assasin, he’s just a sadist who enjoys raping lolis and shotas.

Oh, and if your bored, get a job, do a sport, move to england, learn another language, or go watch gay porn(jk).
y does every person drawn by clamp thats not fat hve pentagon shaped heads?
July 30th, 2008 at 6:51 am
Naruto wasn’t *so* bad, for the first 11 or so episodes. If you want to really hate it, watch the 4Kids dubs. It put me off watching anime for like a week -_- Wiki tells me Artemis Entreri is a Neutral-Evil (my favourite!) assassin from Forgotten Realms, more specifically appearing in the Icewind Dale Trilogy. Basically a crazy evil guy who kills for pleasure. Just about sums up what we’ve seen of Lucciano so far. My prediction for Lucciano: Falling at either Gino’s or Kallen’s hand in a dramatic save of the other. Though by the looks of things it’s probably Gino saving Kallen, as Kallen isn’t terribly interested in Gino at this point. Maybe not falling as in dying, but being put out of action at least. One of those disabling attacks which causes a retreat.
Possible, but as I’ve said we don’t know. To my knowledge we’ve seen 3 lost codes thus far. The nun to C.C, V.V to Charles, and C.C. to Charles/the ether. None of those, to our knowledge, had a chance to be geassed after the code was lost thus far. It might be an after effect, you lose the immortality but keep the geass immunity. I kinda like this idea, but until we get more evidence neither of us will be proven right or wrong.
Hmm. It’s possible, I was just considering whether Rolo would see C.C as a threat to Rolo’s lust for Lelouch. He did with Shirley, and all Shirley wanted to do was help Lelouch. He may view C.C. similarly, though if that’s the case Lelouch may simply keep C.C and Rolo seperate, as he knows Rolo’s temperament.
Invest in a new game, or a new console of games. The greatest of gaming smack addictions: World of Warcraft (if that’s your thing), maybe a bit of JRPG on the PS2 in the form of Final Fantasy and more. The World Ends With You (DS) was particularly enjoyable for me, but only occupied me for a few days. Or sink yourself into one of the many RTS out there. If you haven’t already, pick up a copy of Starcraft and it’s expansion, Brood War (They generally come packaged together at this point). Kinda retro PC graphics, but some of the best RTS gameplay and story you’ll find anywhere.
July 30th, 2008 at 6:51 am
It’s sandslayer, get it right fool. No capitals and no space. Byt he way, I find it’s rather enjoyable to criticize every damn thing people post. Of course, your just a sheep. Just another average fool who wants to be better than what he is. Don’t make me laugh at you more than I already am.
He’s not another Orange. He’s the Knight of Ten, and apparently he’s a better pilot than Jeremiah, and enjoys killing more. Hmph, I bet you only call him Orange because you’re too idiotic to remember his name.
I’m too young to get a job for one thing, I have to be 14 to get a workers permit (I don’t turn 14 for another month). I already play hockey (I know, hockey in Hawaii), and why the fuck would I go to England, where I am now is fine. Also, I bet you don’t even know another language, although you might since your lack of English ability makes it seem that way, besides, I plan on learning German in High School.
I dunno, maybe because it’s an art style?
July 30th, 2008 at 7:04 am
Hopefully I’m doing these tags correctly. Anyway, it does seem that losing your immortality did end up in the death of the previous immortal in most recent iterations. However, I’m not convinced that losing their “code” is what caused them to die on those cases. For C.C., in her memories she was bloody and the nun was lying at the bottom of a flight(short flight) of stairs, blood oozing from her head. Judging from that scene it looked like it was the concussion that killed her, probably after she angered C.C. enough to take her code or however that works. Then they seemed to have fought and she, now being mortal, died. As for V.V., he was pretty messed up following his ownage by Lelouche and Cornelia, and losing his Wolverine healing factor at that point would also assumably kill him. Losing your “code” could just mean becoming mortal again, and perhaps losing all memory of your life while you possessed a Geass or “code”. Hard to say without studying more cases, records of which probably went down with the Geass Directorate. Whose destruction was probably for the best really, due to their tendency to create creepy children with psionic powers or whatever. I’m pretty sure Rolo was pretty much the norm to come out of that place.
I’m not so sure on that. The fact that she wasn’t healing from that cut on her finger seemed to shake him up quite a bit when it happened, perhaps because he was suddenly hit with realization that she could die now. He might have just thought that she lost her memory from that whole “blowing up random stuff in a weird mind world” plan of his in 15. In essence, C.C. used to be the only one he could let his guard down(if only slightly) and his contact out around, and I’m not sure he thought about the possibility that she could be vunderable to Geass now, and I don’t see him “testing it out just to be sure”. Hopefully he’s realizes that and is more careful around her, at least until he can confirm if she is or is not immune. Just one “leave me alone” and C.C. might take her show on the road and Lelouch will need to go find her and de-geass her causing much chaos and probably hilarity.

Heh, R.A. Salvatore books are some of my favourites, fantasy without the childish element. Kinda like J.R.R. Tolkein. I’m surprised you looked up Artemis Entreri though. I bet Luciano will die, his attitude sums that part up, it’s a no brainer. If your prediction with Gino and Kallen bears weight then most likely it’s Gino saving Kallen, since he wants to rematch her so badly. This also makes me believe that Gino won’t join the OotBK.
Damn it.
More stuff we have no way of knowing about…all we can do is voice our opinions.
I used to really be into Mmorpg’s, but that kinda wore off as I finished 8th grade. I have Starcraft and Broodwar, beaten it a bunch of times. I’m the best with Zerg and Protoss though I utterly suck as terran. My PS2 is broken and my mom won’t get a new one (I’m broke, due to being unable to get a job), though I used to play Dragon Quest VIII (pretty fun) and Final Fantasy X (I ALMOST BEAT IT, god damn I was pissed when it broke) on it (it broke over 2 years ago, maybe 3, I dunno). Never heard of The Worlds Ends With You, can you still buy it in stores? Though that’s unlikely for me to buy it since I have no cash…I don’t really know what RTS means though…if you eman stuff like Warcraft and Starcraft, I’ve already beaten most of their older games.
You aren’t, but I rechecked and you are. Good for you.
Agreed. Though I’m finding it hard to believe C.C. killed her, but I guess anger could have been the case.
Yeah, I noticed that he was acting “cold” after he saw she was bleeding, and afterwards he acted WAY DIFFERENT towards Suzaku. It all makes sense, we just don’t know how events will play out.

Hawt, I’m in Hawaii too. Though I’m stuck at work obsessing about the next damn episode of Code Geass. I really should have waited a bit before starting on this series. I just saw it on Cartoon Network and though “hey, Code Geass has been out for a while why don’t I go grab it now, it should be done”. Big, freaking, mistake. God damn second season. Watched season one and got stuck on this train ride to awesome. Or train wreck to awesome. Whatever.

That’s basically what I sit and do all week, though I’ll have something else to do with high school coming up soon (yay). I personally think code geass has ruined my life. I used to just watch anime as a passing interest, usually on Saturday on adult swim (which is also how I originally found code geass), but I’m going overboard with it, this is actually the only blog I’ve ever gone back to (I have a very low tolerance for blogs, just like myspace and every other social internet thing…I guess you could say I hate the internet). I don’t know what I’m gonna do with my life if code geass ends without a shitload of dramatic fucking deaths…I guess you could say I have no life, though I am looking forward to high school, it’s mostly because it’ll give me something to do, hell imagine when I enter the workforce…that raises an interesting thought, I feel like I’m living my life seeking out a way to stop boredom. Interesting life huh, and they say Hawaii is paradise. Might as well get back to my book, nothing else to do while I wait for new posts. By the way, I actually like the code geass english dub though most people don’t like the voices.

RTS=Real Time Strategy, like Starcraft, Warcraft, Total Annihilation and Command and Conquer.
World Ends with You is a fairly recent JRPG for the DS which was done by the Square Enix team who worked on the Kingdom Hearts series. Disney is absent, and I really enjoyed the game. As it’s a recent release, I’d be surprised if you couldn’t find it in stores. If you really want to get the most of your DS however, might I point you towards the R4? http://www.r4ds.com/r4.htm for all your DS gaming needs.
As you’re strapped for cash however, http://www.metacritic.com/games/pc/scores/ Top PC games of all time, sorted by overall score. Torrents are your friends.
If I don’t know something and someone makes a reference to it, I’ll look it up. Best way to learn is to find out what you don’t know and then know it. I dunno, what’d cause the Tristan to get refitted if he wasn’t joining? It’s not like Lelouch would just rebuild his Knightmare with fresh technology and let him go back to Britannia, even if Kallen asked him to. I only started watching Code geass after I saw the first episode of R2, which meant I had all of R1 to go through. It’s not fun having to wait a week every time you want stuff to get revealed :( He may get his rematch with her before he intervenes with Lucciano, in which case that’d open him up for having finished his rematch and allow him to join the Black Knights for a refitted Tristan.
Know what we get on Cartoon Network in England? Utter crap. They used to have a splash of anime on Toonami (Cartoon network spinoff) but that channel vanished into the ether at some point. Endless reruns of Dexter’s Lab, Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends and The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy (actually not bad) make Cartoon Network a horrible channel. Though I still hate Nickelodeon for getting rid of Invader Zim. Wankers :(

I’m usually quite ashamed of the english language whenever I watch dubbed anime. Strange though, I used to love Black Belt Theatre back when I was a kid, and those were some HORRIBLE dubbing. I think they had like two guys dubbing the whole show, including high pitched guy voices for the girls. But I just can’t watch dubbed anime, I just stare in disbelief, feel ashamed of my language, then download and watch it in Japanese with subtitles.
July 30th, 2008 at 8:18 pm
If there’s any possibility at all of C.C regaining her memories, it will likely have something to do with Anya. She’s pretty much the only character left who has a MAJOR yet unexplained role left in the whole royal family drama. (I almost hope the theories are true and she’s Lelouch’s real sister, because that would seriously stir things up.) But I’ll keep hoping the old C.C eventually returns, even though there’s no basis for the possibility.
Has anyone else read the leakage from the blogs? Things are going to get really ugly starting next episode.
July 30th, 2008 at 9:00 pm
lol i’ve got a hunch the king will start handing out geass.
July 30th, 2008 at 11:28 pm
@dotard: why would he do that? For one thing, he has no reason to, and for another, every Geass he gives out means one more person who could potentially easily kill him. (After all, once a person gets to a high enough level with Geass, they can simply take their contractor’s Code, just like what Charles did with V.V.. Although…it’s possible that the contractor has to be willing to relinquish their Code. [V.V. had said something about how he "accepted [his] destiny” or “accepted [his] fate”, because he was “the older brother”, possibly meaning that he allowed Charles to take his Code, doing what he could to protect his little brother. On the other hand, it could mean that he had accepted his immortality and did not intend to die, because he felt he had to be there for his younger brother.])

Kicks and giggles, strategic improvements against Lelouch. How many geass users does he have on his team, none now that his is gone? If he dropped a few geass around on the Knights of Round or on the royal family (say, Schneizel?) to give him more of an edge. He knows Schneizel’s after the throne, maybe giving Schneizel the tools to eventually off him and take his place. Jeremiah can’t be everywhere at once, if he spread a few geass around, they can’t cancel them all. Tactically, it’d be a good plan.
So far, the majority of Britannia has been shown to be extremely loyal to the emperor. Even if they mastered their geass, the Emperor could simply have them killed. Jeremiah sticks to the royal family, allying with Lelouch simply because of his (Jeramiah’s) loyalty to Marianne. After Lelouch gets removed from the picture, it’d be feasible for Jeremiah to ally with the Emperor again, as such he could simply geass cancel any masters and assassinate them. You know, assuming the Emperor won. He won’t, and it’s highly unlikely he’ll start throwing geass to other people, even though tactically it would be one of the better moves he could make.
July 31st, 2008 at 10:09 am
The Emperor may win yet, the “symbolism” of the chess pieces in this episode sort of hint it.
And no, he won’t start making contracts with others, for the same reason Lelouch won’t command people to “do as I say until you die.” Plot would disappear. Plus, they wanted to keep the knowledge of Geass under wraps, etc. etc. Though it is an interesting situation.

Yes I know what you mean, I saw the english dub of Code Geass and Dragon Ball Z, I didn´t like it not a bit…
That´s why I like the spanish dub(latin, not the one from Spain) to be more especific mexican, the others are good but the accent changes to much and sometimes its censured..
So if we talk about language, theres nothing better than reading the subs and hearing the original seiyuu.
Damn I don´t know how to quote…

I wonder if Anya knew about Queen Marianne’s death – maybe that led to the Emperor in removing her memories. Maybe the Emperor has something to do with Queen Marianne’s death?
July 31st, 2008 at 2:21 pm
Omega Knight
“y does every person drawn by clamp thats not fat hve pentagon shaped heads?”
Sorry to say but it seems that u don’t watch much clamp shows after all. Because they do draw fat people.

“Anya’s story seems to be getting more interesting. We can she’s not a Geass-giver like V.V. since the Emperor can alter her memories. We’re left with a creepy little girl who apparently lacks any sort of common sense…and that strange scene with C.C. I really hope her mind-wiped stories aren’t foreshadowing for a twist ending where Marianne isn’t dead, Nanali opens her eyes to reveal Geass, and the inevitable third season.”
I read from somewhere in another blog – in the manga Nanaly has geass – which is the ability to foretell the future.
July 31st, 2008 at 4:17 pm
Acually, how do you think Lelouche is gonna hold that very spread out ‘nation. He doesn’t have any elite pilots he can spare and the Brits have more Knights of the Round running around. So I don’t see a way in which he can sucessfully defend his ass (Those European countires tht joined).
July 31st, 2008 at 4:42 pm
Note that the main battle is going to happen in japan and that Brittannia’s main military force is in Japan (Valkyries’ and Gareths and whatnot), if they brought the Knight of One to Japan that probably means whoever wins Japan wins the war, though it won’t be an easy victory. In any case, should be interesting.
July 31st, 2008 at 6:38 pm
Didn’t the chess board show both white and black kings standing? The Black king was coloured with blood, but that could mean anything, from Lelouch’s forces massacring a bunch of people (again) or Lelouch having to kill someone personally (Suzaku…please?). The chess board’s symbolism was most likely, in my opinion, to do with there being the large upcoming battle in which a bunch of people would die, as opposed to telling us what might happen in the long run/after the battle.
Don’t forget we still have space combat to come (OP2 ;D). Schneizel’s Sword of Damocles (space station?) still has to make an appearance too. It won’t end with Japan I don’t think.
Oh, and I’m taking bets that R2 will end with C.C. kissing Lelouch.
July 31st, 2008 at 7:24 pm
Also note that we could be totally overthinking this whole thing about the blood on the chess set. I seriously doubt that a major plot development will happen just because of us seeing a bloody king piece. Oh and Suzaku won’t be killing Lelouch, a slight spoiler of next episode: Lelouch and Suzaku meet at Kururugi shrine (duh), Schniezel suspects something and sends out men to folow Suzaku, they find out he’s Zero and try to capture Lelouch. Another part that’s unconfirmed is that Lelouch told Suzaku that Euphie’s death never should have happened and then Suzaku helps him escape. But another source says that Lelouch is interupted by Schniezels men, Lelouch calls Suzaku a traitor and escapes, Suzaku gets pissed off but doesn’t do anything.
We don’t *know* if there will be space combat, they would have to reintroduce a shitload of new mechas and stuff and theres only 9 episode left, I mean, come on. Although the final battle probably won’t be in Japan, it might be like in Pendragon or something, or maybe at that giant tower with the float system. Also did anyone else notice those awesome new black knights float system battleships? Also, I read somewhere *unconfirmed* that Kallen pilots the Guren Ganesha and that she either escaped or tricked Brittannia into letting her pilot it, they then rig the Lancelot with the same technology as the Guren since it’s like invincible (apparently she takes out the Valkyries and the Percival). Though that’s all unconfirmed.
That would be my dream ending. C.C.xLelouch! Yeah! I really don’t care about Kallen up to this point, C.C. is cooler.
By the way, wtf is with the overpowered Gareths, if you read the wiki article they ALL have hadron cannons, they are gonna slaughter the black knights (notice that the Gawain had 2 hadron cannons and it took out the whole of the air force stationed in Japan in the black rebellion). And these Valkyries, wtf is with them, why are they pink?
ALSO, one last thing. Viletta apparently got captured by the Black Knights (presumably) and is held under house arrest (huh?) according to the official site and wikipedia. I think we are gonna fidn out what happened next episode. I’m looking forward to it personally but I always had a soft spot for the VilettaxOugi thing.
July 31st, 2008 at 7:39 pm
Fixed that for you? ^^
But how do we explain the space ship firing missiles? :s
Mostly said it because it’s how R1 ended and R2 ’started’. I’m not quite sure, but I don’t *think* she kissed him at the start of R1, just grabbed his wrist if I recall.
In regards to the Gareths, the description appears to make them out to be siege/long range bombardment types with slash harkens for close defence, that is, craploads of weapons+harkens. In which case a few close range melee knightmares piloted by aces (say…Tohdoh, Xingke and Kallen? Handy that.) could probably work quite effectively against them. Though you are correct, it’s likely they’d tear the black knights cannon fodder apart.
As for the valkyries, they’re female, so they have to have pink…right? I mean, not that we’re gender stereotyping or anything here. God no. Besides, as far as I can tell they’re just the Knight of One’s elite guard piloting the mass produced Vincent with a new colour scheme. Psh I say, PSH! Last time we saw Vincents in action vs. the Black Knights they imploded under the longe range radiation wave. ;D
I’ve always been kinda bored with the VilettaxOugi thing. Mostly cos I’ve always seen Ougi as expendable. Is it just me, or has he shown no real capabilities at tactics or combat? And Diethard appears to be a far better admin guy. Only reason I see to keep Ougi on is because he’s always been there really.
Edit: Are we going to see a return of the Siegfried? Probably not cos it’s kinda overpowered, but it’d be a fairly good counter to all the Gareths I think, it already showed it could shrug off Hadron blasts vs. the Shinkirou. Also it’d give Jeremiah a mech which didn’t blow (Upgraded Sutherland…yay…)

“Sorry to say but it seems that u don’t watch much clamp shows after all. Because they do draw fat people.”
I don’t think thats what he said.
July 31st, 2008 at 8:39 pm
Yes, it’s most likely of course that Lelouch will be victorious. But things seem headed to a grim end. (Augh, you’d have to read the spoilers to see why.) They’re always reminding the viewers that “those who acquire the power of Geass are lured onto the path of loneliness.”
That chess board was very interesting, a lot can be extracted from it. I’ll make my own prediction. Taking the symbolism of the chess pieces seriously could translate to something ominously like your bet. Remember that the very first thing C.C did for Lelouch was take a bullet meant for him. Loss of immortality + her blood on the black king piece = well, I just hope I’m making up something crazy because I’d like them to live happily ever after too, heh.
Or maybe Sunrise is just trolling and that scene didn’t even mean anything.
August 1st, 2008 at 3:39 am
I believe that Lelouch will fulfill all his goals, though it may be to the letter and not the intent. C.C. might die, but she will die happy(knowing that she is loved and treasured) with a smile on her face. He will change the world to a peaceful place that Nunnally could live happily in, but Nunnally may not be alive to live in it. Dark I know, sorry about that. Hopefully it ends alot happier than I suggested(low expectations = always pleasantly surprised O.o).
On a side note, I find it interesting that Kallen is now Lelouch’s only real ally right now, someone who knows who he is and trusts him completely. They’ve pretty much punted her out of the picture for like a quarter of the season, but her time in the spotlight is due, and I’m not talking about her 100 hit combo on Suzaku(an internet sensation that hopefully doesn’t go as far as that damn Suzaku spin crap). I predict that Lelouch will get screwed by Suzaku next episode, by action or inaction, and Nunnally will help Kallen escape to save him. I’m pretty sure she suspects who Zero is ever since he tried to kidnap her(screaming “Nunnally!!” as he is flung away from her. A cry so distant and covered by background sound that only Daredevil, or a blind girl who is a living polygraph test, could hear).
Man, I hope Lelouch isn’t going to be ditching out on another battle without telling anyone again. I’m pretty sure they’re going to abandon him if he screws them like that again. Hmm, actually now that I think about it, I think that is EXACTLY what is going to happen. “Sorry guys, I overslept. So what’d I miss? Why is there a crater where Tokyo used to be?” Going to enjoy seeing him talk his way out of that one.
August 1st, 2008 at 8:28 am
I am shocked that lelouch even managed to break the plate. Isn’t he suppose to be so physically inept that he can’t do anything. Like at ashford academy when everyone even Milly outruns him.
August 1st, 2008 at 8:32 am
Plot device Mr. Jiwon, plot device.
If the Guren is so unpilotable, I wonder if Kallen will die from overusing it. :(
Edit:

That’s…mesmerising. If you found some music to go to that, you could have a new, minor internet fad (see: Caramelldansen or leek spin)
Nah, Xingke is gonna die from the shenhu+his disease combined, but Kallen’s just gonna be all weak for a while. She’s a young, spry active teenager, a little bit of crushing g-force and extreme strain on her body is nothing.
I dunno, he could leave Xingke in charge, you know, his supposed tactical equal. And people keep telling me Tohdoh has some sort of tactical abilities too, so he could take some command. The Black Knights temporarily lose the Shinkirou in combat, as well as Lelouch’s presence, but on the other hand the don’t have to go up against the Lancelot, which would be helpful. Besides, Lelouch being absent also allows him to steal a moment in combat by dramatically rescuing someone/everyone.
August 1st, 2008 at 1:41 pm
He did use the mask, though. Let’s just assume it’s reeeaaallly heavy and sturdy. Props to Sunrise for making something look almost physically possible for once. (Kidding.)
Actually… it’s more like the opposite this time.
August 1st, 2008 at 2:10 pm
I have eyes and ears from hell, I just know.
I really don’t want space battles.
Not one of those, a more passionate one. A more flavourful one. A kiss born of love, not just a kiss.
If I remember correctly Lelouch forsaw this, he’s using a Gefjun Disturber to take out the city’s stuff and their artillery units, I’m guessing the main fights are gonna take place over the sea. Still those Gareths are scary.
I don’t remember them being women, did they even mention it? Or they could be piloted by nerds. “Oh, clap your hands, everybody clap your hands!” If you don’t know where that’s from your either mexican or ignorant. Vincents aren’t that great though.
Ougi doesn’t pilot a knightmare, he’s second in command (or something). He sits in the Ikaruga and gives orders, kinda like Zero except not as smart (though Ougi seems to have a vague idea of who Zero is, not identity wise but his true personality).
If my memory serves me right, Lelouch wouldn’t pass up a knightmare as powerful as the Siegfried, but, he has been known to to do stupid stuff…
Happy ending! Yay! I’m hoping for a happy ending…but I HAVE A COUNTER FOR YOU! Guess what, the reason geass leads people on the path of loneliness is because of the immortality. SO thinking along those lines, since Lelouch doesn’t have to be immortal then he won’t be needing to be lonely (hopeful thinking).
A bloody king. A king must be bloody to obtain victory, if it means anything at all, it means blood will be shed and it will be Zero’s direct fault. That’s all I can think of. I’m trying to not think that C.C. might die.
An entirely plausible and likeable scenario.
I’m gonna piss myself if I need to keep repeating myself. HOLY FUCKING GOD, LISTEN AND READ MY PREVIOUS POSTS! The whole fricken reason they made her lose her memories is so that they could make her happy without killing her off, they even said that! I mean jesus, I was originally rooting for KallenxLelouch because I didn’t think a C.C.xLelouch relationship is possible because she was immortal, but this sets it up so that they can be perfect for each other. He’s not going to have to kill her. Get over it.
Suzaku doesn’t screw him, Schniezel does, and he learns who Zero is. Anyways, I liked the whole Kallen beating the crap outta Suzaku and get over your love of Kallen godamnit, C.C. is much better, besides, it’s been shown Kallen respects Zero and probably doesn’t think of him romantically, though she does view Zero and Lelouch as 2 different people. It’s interesting because the KallenxLelouch relationship is so underdeveloped and yet people still hold hope. Maybe a KallenxLuciano ending?
If I’m reading my spoilers right, Lelouch meets Suzaku, Lelouch gets attacked, Lelouch and Suzaku both part on *bad* terms and Zero ruthlessly attacks Japan. However an equally trustworth source popped up and said a (less likely) scenario where Lelouch meets Suzaku and explains the circumstances of Euphies death. Suzaku realizes he completely misjudged Lelouch and when he gets attacked Suzaku helps him escape. They part on good terms and then Lelouch resumes his attack on Japan.
No thanks.
Useless plot element I’m not interested in.
Zero is one for a dramatic entrance and his people know that. If he oversleeps the Black Knights will be expecting it.
Not really important. It’s only there so they can confirm she’s not immortal anymore.
Woohoo, I’m done with my book as of last night.
August 1st, 2008 at 4:27 pm
Imagine if orange uses hes geass canceller on anya. oh btw you can tell anya is going 2 die cause she isnt in the op or ending. Rollo isnt going to die because he is in the OP
August 1st, 2008 at 5:14 pm
WRONG! BEEP!
Anya is in the opening, just not the ending. Besides, just because they are or aren’t in the opening doesn’t mean anything. Hell I’ve seen some shows where the very first person to die is still in the last opening.
So, doesn’t matter.

We’ve got a romantic in the ranks folks.
Fair enough. Does Lloyd not have access to Gefjun disturber technology to work out a countermeasure? Do the Black Knights have a countermeasure on their mechs? :s they should really look into that. Wouldn’t be too difficult, hook up a system on a separate non-sakuradite power source which triggers whenever the Sakuradite is forcefully shutdown, or when it detects the gefjun pulse. This is the kind of pseudo science anime was built on, come on people!
Well yeah, that’s fair enough. Except Zero was always giving orders in the command center until he first picked up the Gawain (ep…19? of R1, I think). And they had Tohdoh by that point who’s supposedly a great tactician, likely better than Ougi. Plus they also have Xingke now as well as I’ve said. Really, as far as important figures go he seems to be nothing more than a figurehead.
Valkyries, as you may be aware, are female warriors under the direct command of Odin, who collect fallen warriors from the battlefield and take them to Valhalla. I can’t remember if they only take really good warriors, my norse mythology is a tad rusty. I do remember that one Valkyrie changed the outcome of a battle for a man she loved, and Odin’s favourite team lost so he was a bit angry. Pink Mechs (This is Sunrise) and female by mythology=women, in my eyes.
I’m guessing you’ve not seen them and are connecting leek spin with the altogether worse website, meat spin. Logical perhaps, but also foolish. Leek spin is a four(?) frame animation of Inoue Orihime (Bleach) spinning a leek around in her hand, to the tune of an excerpt from some nordic folk song. Caramelldansen is…well, it’s a similar vein to Leek spin. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UX6e7sO1ss0 is the ‘original’ version, I think. There are many versions for different animes/games floating around.
She could still bleed and get hurt when she was immortal. See Mao shooting her, or when she took a bunch of debris to the torso during the battle on the mountain with Cornelia. She heals crazy fast and she can’t die (though they haven’t said what happens if she gets decapitated) but she can be hurt and bleed. Showing that she can be hurt and bleed wasn’t a confirmation that she was immortal by any means.
You’ll have to elaborate, I’m not sure I get the reference. MGS=Metal Gear Solid? If you’re referencing number 4 it’s wasted on me :( Lack of PS3 means I haven’t played it yet.
August 1st, 2008 at 9:47 pm
She can’t still be immortal if lelouch has to put a bandage on her finger.
August 2nd, 2008 at 12:30 am
Wasn’t saying that, I was just saying that showing her bleeding wasn’t confirmation that she wasn’t immortal. The bandaging, possibly. But the showing her hurt+bleeding, no.
August 2nd, 2008 at 1:18 am
Just because C2 was bleeding doesnt mean she lost her code. She bled plenty of times before.
Get that in ur head ppl.
If i shot u, u would bleed.
And what fal said is true i dont watch clamp.
August 2nd, 2008 at 1:44 am
She lost the super human healing ability that the code gave her (as is evidenced from the small bandage around her finger following the incident). She didn’t require bandages when Mao shot her, nor when she took the debris. She healed quickly, which Lelouch remarks after he sorts her wounds in the caves. A tiny cut on her finger would not merit a bandage if she had her code. I agree, bleeding isn’t confirmation she’s not immortal.
The bandage is though.

Dangit sandslayer, I had to stop reading your post partway, mentioning too many spoilers. Anyway, I was just saying they’ve forgotten about Kallen for quite some time so they’re probably going to make up for that with her being important in some way in the next few episodes. So if SOMEONE needs to get Lelouch out of a pickle with Suzaku, then she’s a prime candidate. Plus with C.C. going all amnesiac, Lelouch is really lacking in true accomplices in the Black Knights. Of the ones that know his true identity, Sayoko seems to be more Diethard’s subordinate, Ougi/Villeta also seem to be under Diethard’s control, and Rolo is fucking crazy. He either needs to get C.C.’s memories back(which will probably take a while more since he really doesn’t have the time to pursue that, plus amnesiac C.C. is too cute to get rid of so soon), or get Kallen back, which would be good because he’s probably going to be needing more ace pilots with the upcoming battles. As for romantic pairings with Lelouch, I don’t really care too much. The last possible girlfriend they focussed on died, and might be an indication of a Terry Bogard curse(anime Terry Bogard not game), though it’s too early to tell.
Agghh, still a few more days to Sunday!

Hmm, Lelouch does still have Orange-kun with him, but he’s kind of loopy as well. Probably not as bad as Rolo since his quarcks lean more towards not killing people. Wonder what his call to Guilford was about. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t just a “wazzup! Heads up dude, Cornellia’s still alive”. I’m pretty sure it was one of those “Who does your loyalty lie with, Brittania or Cornellia” thing, and they’re probably trying to get him to betray the Brittanian army during the invasion.
Not sure what’s Diethard’s game is though. He probably knows exactly who Lelouch is by now. Wonder if it’s all fanatical devotion to Zero that’s motivating him. Plus Lelouch has been inflating his ego lately and he might be to the point that he has confused his will with Zero’s will, making him do things that he thinks “Zero would want.” This could potentially be even worse than anything Rolo could do to the Black Knights.

Its pretty late and sadly I don’t want to read over 127comments but I think Ougi is Sayoko, I mean she has the leet skills right?
And you know when Zero was backing off when the emperor was talking and he got noticed? that doesnt bode well
August 2nd, 2008 at 12:51 pm
Uh, no. Sayoko was hanging with Rolo in a suit, as you can see in the DM pic captioned “WTF? Does she ever remove that headpiece?” Sayoko is not pretending to be Ougi.

huh?
Not really, I prefer a good, tragic ending that really fucks with the main characters emotions (and/or a really tasteful death for the main character). Heres an example of some pretty good endings. Happy/romantic, good ending: Shuffle! He is my master. And for bad, the best I could think of is Doctor Who last season, just premeired in the U.S. today and it is awesome, it REALLY messed with the doctor. Though I gotta admit most happy endings are corny and most tragic endings are funny.
Lloyd does have access to gefjun disturber anti-properties but I doubt they installed it on all their knightmares in the whole army, it really is common sense, the life of a single soldier doesn’t hold much value and Lloyd’s perceptions of gefjun is it affecting single knightmares, nothing wide-scale like the G-Train.
Ougi is apparenlty Secretary General (whatever that is). Figure his position out yourself cause I don’t feel like checking out what it is.
I know, I know, I KNOW! I knew all that, I was mainly joking around with the Valkyries. I’ve never known any variations from Valkyries to be anything but a busty warrior chick. I was joking about gay guys in one of them because of that.
I said No Thanks because I never really cared about all that “over 9000″, leek spin, caramelldansen, etc. It just didn’t amuse me enough. Note that I usually don’t even watch anime.
I was suggesting the whole sequence of events that led to the bandage, not the first thing that happened to her. He hit her, the dish broke, she got cut, she didn’t regenerate it right away (it was a small cut, it should’ve been fast) and he got her a bandage. Also note that Lelouch was thoroughly shaken up after that.
Your comment makes me sick, so I seperated it from the main parts about that part of the discussion. If I got shot, I would bleed, that’s true (though that’s a very, very negative example) and before C.C. lost her immortality she bled as well, but the difference is SHE HEALED QUICKLY. Dude, if you haven’t gotten that yet, you’re retarded. If I got shot, I’d be hospitalized, If C.C. got shot, she’d be up and ready again in at most a few days. But this time, C.C. got hurt and *didn’t* heal right away. THAT is WHAT’S DIFFERENT.
Mhmm. By the way, the bandage isn’t the only evidence…more evidence will be revealed as the series progresses (stops talkign to build suspense) but I shall not say why (major plot tiwst) yet.
There weren’t that many spoilers…want me to reveal how the show ends then? That would piss you off! Sadly I don’t know, I only know basically what happens in episode 17~21…I like what I’ve heard about episode 21…very twisted. I agree that Diethard knows more than he lets on (I said that earlier) because that is what triggers a substantial plot twist later. Also, I like the new C.C. better than the old one, mostly because it provides a romantic chance for Lelouch.
Lelouch has been humanizing more and more lately. I really don’t agree with that theory, but that’s mostly because Lelouch has been showing his more vulnerable side lately, he doesn’t really think he is Zero, he thinks that Zero is what others see him as, and he uases that to get his results.
Knowing Guilfords past, present and future relationship with Cornelia it is obviously a ploy to get Guilford on their side (if you can interpret that right you might just have a spoiler).
I don’t really want to answer that because it doesn’t really have a bearing in my interpretation of future code geass events.
That was pretty long…a few spoilers here and there…enjoy!

What in the nine hells…my post was deleted? Eh!? It took me almost a half an hour to write it! Omg! I PUT SO MUCH EFFORT INTO IT! I EXPLAINED THE MEANING OF LIFE!!! Not really. But that sucks…
Edit: It’s back *phew*
It’s the last post on column 9 just to let anyone who cares know.

hey guys, has anyone thought the ship firing missiles in space is actually a ship firing gerfun disturbers to earth to prevent that psychotic, madscientist lesbian from letting off her nuke?
August 2nd, 2008 at 10:10 pm
Sorta like releasing a nuke in the atmosphere for the EMP effect a la Goldeneye? (Is that proper science? I always thought that was a bit silly.)
It’s possible, but I don’t think so. A worldwide gefjun net would effectively kill the mecha aspect of the series, which Sunrise wouldn’t do. Plus, more ‘lore’wise, the Black Knights would be the only ones to do it (Why would Britannia stop their own person?). Lelouch must believe he can win the fight against Britannia using his current strengths, Freya (I’ve seen two different translations) would be an unexpected turn for him, but he can probably work around it. The bomb, from what I can tell, has a massive destructive radius and power. It’d be ineffective in closed spaces of Britannian territory. The best they could hope for is to use it on a Federation city, and the Black Knights won’t be there. It may work as an incentive to not attack, just like the nukes of reality, but that stops being effective if Rakshata develops a weapon of similar power. I hadn’t thought that it was a worldwide gefjun net, but I just don’t see it happening.

@Amnestic: Surprisingly enough, the whole explode-nuke-in-atmosphere-to-create-EMP does indeed have basis in fact. Wikipedia article on High-Altitude Electromagnetic Pulses.
I do think the whole thing with GoldenEye itself was kind of silly, though; I mean, how many warheads did it have? What would they do when it ran out? I mean, satellites don’t usually get repaired; when they do (I can only think of one situation at the moment; namely, the Hubble Space Telescope), it tends to be a big deal (because a manned mission is usually needed). Unless they would simply send up another GoldenEye?

sandslayer you need to a chill pill this isnt life or death its just a blog. yet the chap yap all he wants.
i saw the effects of EMP Energy weapons on tv this weekend. i hope they dont pull a fast one like that to disable the freya

Haters…I swear…look, I can chat all that I want on a blog. If I want to have really long ass posts or insult people/argue with people I can. Mostly I insult people only if they say something really stupid, otherwise I’m just trying to prove a point. But iof you wanna argue then go ahead. Lay out an opinion and lace it with evidence. I love tearing stuff like that apart.
By the way, I single out Omega Knighx because he comes off as retarded to me. Just so you know.
August 3rd, 2008 at 7:05 am
Huh. Learn something new every day. And I dunno really, I haven’t seen Goldenye in a long, long time (like…12 years or something), but it was just trying to short out and eradicate the electrical systems, right? In which case it’d only need a limited number of warheads to short them all out once. In which case, they’d only need to target certain place, rather than blanketing the whole planet (“Let’s fire our EMP at the middle of the pacific, teach those goddamn tribal island dwellers a lesson!”) I’m not certain of the blast radius, but it wouldn’t take many to knock out the UK, and targeting strategic cities (New York->Wall street crash anyone?) would have horrendous effects.
Then again, I can’t even remember the premise for goldeneye. Was it a hostile weapon that was developed or a friendly weapon which was stolen? I dunno, I need to watch it again I think.

First off…are we still talkign about code geass or about real life. Thus I will divide my answers into two sections.
Real life: According to the article I read (which had no sources or references, thank god for wikipedia =.=) HEMP is a valid threat. Also please note that I’m reffering to the U.S. in this article. I do find it kind of silly that a nuclear warhead detonated in space would knock out communications on-planet but when you think about it, disrupting communication sattelites would cause alot of problems, mainly because alot of our communication networks ARE in space, however it would equally be effective to just use the nuke to bomb our country, probably more seeing that the amount of resources required to launch a nuclear satellite into orbit without alerting other countries (as far as I know, there are no nuclear satellites, though that may just be classified information) would be rather taxing. Besides, even if they get a nuclear satellite into orbit they could jsut bomb our planet from space (which would be pretty hard to stop) and devastate us, or they could knock out our satellites, declare war, fight us, all the while they wasted their nuke knocking down communications, instead of hurting us. If you understand my meaning of that, your a genius, I personally kinda find it jumbled.
Anyways…Code Geass: Initializing a planetary EMP would basically knock out ALL electronic devices on the planet, making everyone vulnerable. It really would defeat any purpose of doing anything in the show. That’s really all I have to say.
No mechas=no code geass.

Has anyone else noticed that for some reason some of the later posts disapear and then only come back after someone posts something else? It’s weird…dm you probably need to do some tuning on this site of yours.

If it makes you feel better, ‘unobservant’ or ‘blind’ could also apply.

episode 17 should have reunited the enemies – Lelouch and Suzaku (lol just like Naruto and Sasuke) but yeah, the spoiler did come true that Schneizel’s forces tailed Suzaku.
Sayoko will be using her ninja costume as well *_*

No he didn’t. Suzaku is just a fucking emo little shit. Schnizel was right when he said “Who are you?”. You’re probably another Suzaku fan. *facepalm*
August 4th, 2008 at 4:23 pm
*gasp* How dare you say such a horrible thing to me! D:
August 4th, 2008 at 7:47 pm
Either they’re equipped with the gefjun countermeasure (unlikely, as the Britannian owned Vincent could fly too), or the field simply doesn’t go ‘up’ into the air. It only affects a certain altitude, and as long as the Black Knights, or anyone else for that matter, stay above it, they’ll be fine.
