Torrent the whole Geocities

We have won one or two Internets before in our lifetime and now we can finally claim our hitherto figurative prize.

The entire hosted content of the defunct Geocities free hosting service will be released as a 900-gigabyte torrent file by a group called Archive Team. I’m sure we all have fond childhood memories and traumas associated with the pop-ups-with-flashing-cursors monster that was Geocities. Here’s the chance to relive it.

Chiaki Ishikawa – Uninstall (Promo Video)

I seem to have a habit of loading up Aegisub whatever my exams draw close… I just spent a few hours subbing the PV for Uninstall for no particular reason. I didn’t use any fancy effects this time, just a bunch of \kf, \fad and \move.

The video gets a little desynced near the end. I encoded it five times with different settings but to no avail. I think it’s something to do with using AviSynth to load the WMV source file. Oh well.

SHUFFLE! game OP movie

I just had my physics common test today. Biology is up tomorrow. My suffering is almost over! ぶぃV

Anyway, I spent my time yesterday practising karaoke styling instead of revising physics. I rock at life. This time it’s Mirage Lullaby by YURIA, the PC-version OP of SHUFFLE!.

YoakeMae game OP movie

Instead of revising for my exams starting next Monday, I wasted a whole bunch of time subbing the opening movie of Yoake Mae yori Ruri-iro na. Woot! Go me!

I still suck at this whole thing and I can’t use anything more complicated than \kf and \fad(), but nevertheless it’s one of my better works if I may say so myself. :3

Summer Days Promo

Summer Days is the sequel to School Days. The heroine of the story is Setsuna this time. Woot. The cast and setting are still the same, but the story takes place in a different timeline, one where Makoto meets Setsuna first. The promo video was released a few days ago. The game had been delayed many times and the current release date is 23rd June. The official website is here.

Now I can fail tomorrow’s math test with no regrets.
