Shattered Galaxy

After spending most of the day reading HowStuffWorks.com, I finally sign on to MSN Messenger, whose users I am currently hiding from, to check my e-mail. And bam! Another e-mail from Nexon, makers of Shattered Galaxy, begging me to play the game again. From what I have heard, it has become less popular since the time I left, around 1 or 2 years ago. Since then I have received at LEAST 5 e-mails about how great the latest version is. They all ended up in my Trash Can.

This time I think I will give SG another chance, especially since they promised free game time and reactivation of my max-level account. Currently the download is at about 6%. (I’m too lazy to dig out the disc from my Pile of Forbidden Disks. If this version is still full of the unbalanced battle and high-level gameplay evaporation problems, I swear I’ll risk my life and find that disk just to break it into pieces.

Background information:
Shattered Galaxy is billed as the first MMORTS, as opposed to MMORPG. Players control a group of units, somewhere from 6 to 12, in a battle that can have as many as 32 players in a world divided into around 60? pieces of land. The max level is 60, but no statistical benefit is given from lvl 50, making 50 the real cap. I had a lvl 50 character, a common sight on the planet I was on, and let me tell you this: once you reach lvl 50 you don’t have anything left to do. (at least 1 and a half years ago, I can’t say for the newest one)
