Iron Maiden

Wasted the whole afternoon away looking for Evangleion: Iron Maiden (Girlfriend of Steel for the direct Japanese translation). It’s a semi-interactive game made a LoNnNnNnnnnnnnng time ago as a side-story for the series. It had original cels (not sure about animation) and voice acting and the whole thing was done in-house by Gainax. The elusive PC version is supposed to have 4 cds. It features a new character (Kirishima Mana) and a new Eva. I read a few positive reviews of it. However, according to my research, it DOES NOT EXIST! Other than the official Gainax site, whose online shop does not ship international and not to mention closed down, NO ONE IN THE WORLD SELLS IT (the PC version)! Not even on ebay! It’s a damn conspiracy! Worse come to worst, I’ll buy the damn Sega Saturn version (USD 11.99) and the ancient and ill-fated console (USD 20-40) from Ebay. And even then I won’t know if the damn game will work with the console, or the console with my televsion what with all the different regional versions.

And apparently episodes 21-24 have extra scenes in the Japanese VHS versions……

Curse my addiction, CURSE YOU GAINAX! Curse you Sega Saturn! Why can’t you have FULLY working emulators like PlayStation?!?!…sigh…better start revising for tomorrow’s test…
