LOL

Here’s an article about the “Singapore issues”. Click here.

“It recently concluded trade pacts with Chile and Singapore, for example, that restricted their use of capital controls. But the Americans view the rest of the Singapore agenda with some diffidence,” the Economist said.

And

The Caribbean states, like other developing countries, did not support the Singapore issues.

According to the BBC, these countries balked at including the Singapore issues, especially investment rules, because many want to retain control over their own key industrial sectors.

Hmmm…Why are so many countries negative towards this “Singapore issue”? LOL, if you read the whole article, you will realise that the “issue” is actually a proposal brought up during the 1996 WTO meeting in Singapore. In other, words, it has nothing to do with Singapore itself. However, the author of this article made it sound like everyone dispises Singapore for some reason. ^_^ He just had to say out the full name each time, like “Singapore agenda” instead of just saying “the agenda” or “the issues”.
