I managed to obtain the fansub of the first episode of the new Sailormoon Live Action show from Bittorrent. (my eyes are bleeding, curse you MegaTokyo forums) The acting is just hilarious! And Luna the cat is shown differently each time, either as puppet, plushie or CGI. Ahahahahaha, can’t they just do it like Salen from Sabrina? You know, use a real cat?!?!?! And the fansubs got some jokes too. Youma was translated as tentacle monster when it means ghost/demon. The sub is by LOAE666, (who also happens to frequent the MT forums) and released under the name “16 group”.

Seriously, after watching all the corny acting and costumes, I really agree with the roughly the whole MT forums: no one watch the show for its plot. Hmmm seems like a Mars fan club is already forming… >_< Ohkay, I feel so dirty for having it on my harddrive, I just did it to test Bittorrent, I swear! Bittorrent is sure a heck lot faster than Kazaa, I managed a constant 50-70kbps. Although it’s a pain in the ass that it does not have resume function. In fact it doesn’t even have a network. Each FILE has its own network, which is kind of hard to explain, but it works surprisingly well. Next time I can’t find something on the FastTrack network, Bittorrent can back it up. Also I’ve been watching Hellsing. It’s a LOT less scary than I thought, less horror moments but still a lot of gore. The religious undertone is so thick that you can cut it with a knife, but it does add to the atmosphere. (“Jesus Christ is in Heaven Now”) Watching Hellsing makes me forget I wasted 3 hours to download the SM fansub. Meh, at least now I know what the hell everyone on the forum is talking about now… On another note: Ordering from Chuang Yi is a pAiN in the ass. (too bad they are the only @#%@#% manga publisher in Singapore) Their online store is broke and the only way to order is through fax (which means you have to send a check anyway) or through mail. Blagh. I hate writing snail mails. However, shipping locally is free, so that’s a plus. (I’m too fricking lazy to go around the island looking for all 10 books, especially since Popular’s comics section SUCKS! The one near my house only had book Love Hina 2, 3 and 12…) Speaking of Love Hina…WTF do they have to REVERSE the sides for the English version? OR did I miss something and even the original one was from LEFT to RIGHT?!?!? Even the English Evangelion was from Right to Left, hell, everything in my bookshell is from left to right. I hate pulling out a Love Hina book and then wham! The back cover faces me… Hmmm should this be considered a rant now?!? Baah I’ll just put this under Rants since I bothered to type so much about such minor things….That’s what rants are right?
