Fun

They showed Kiki’s Delivery Service in third language center today. It’s a great film, directed by Hayao Miyazaki and produced by Studio Ghibli of course. It’s one of his older work and has the trademarked “almost human-sized eyes” characters. (I think the characters in Princess Mononoke have the most anime-ish eyes in any Ghibli production)

Here’s the info straight from AnimeNFO.com: http://www.animenfo.com/animetitle,229,dmxyql,kiki_s_delivery.html. If you don’t usually like anime, give Studio Ghibli a chance. Their films are pretty mainstream. (Spirited Away is the top-grossing Japanese movie and Grave of the Fireflies is pretty good too) Today’s screening saved me a download… Now let’s just hope they screen Laputa: Castle in the Sky or Spirited Away next tuesday, because I’ve already finished downloading My Neighbor Totoro. (Tonari no Totoro)
