Need some help deciding which banner to use…

The first background is completely drawn and the second one is just a cheapskate copy and paste. I thought that a space background will be more appropriate for Aegis, especially with that lighting. However the space one doesn’t exactly fit either, if you put it into perspective… the light from the maelstorm is coming from the BACK of the gundam, (as evident by the angle that it hits the planet) and even if I were to actually spend the time relighting the damn thing, it will look like crap, because to speak the truth, who the hell wants the main focus of a picture to be lighted from the back? (unless it’s a part of the effect) So.. just imagine there’s another light source that is the same colour… :D

I’m leaning towards the copy and paste job… well the vector one wasn’t exactly hard work either. *draws random circles, fill, add filter* The space background does look nicer with the overlays…
