Holy crap. Ukrainian nukes go AWOL

Hundreds of missiles have gone AWOL from the former Soviet republic of Ukraine, defence minister Yevhen Marchuk has admitted.

The missiles – which were supposed to have been decommissioned following Ukraine’s independence in 1991 – are apparently unaccounted for, due to “accounting problems”.

Marchuk said: “We are currently looking for several hundred missiles. They were decommissioned, but we can’t find them. Each of the missiles contained gold, silver, platinum. But where are the results of their recycling?”

Where indeed?

Wow. A few HUNDRED missiles. Missing. Wow.

Remember that guy trying to build his own cruise missile with $5k? Forced into hiding by government conspiracy!

An amateur cruise missile designer claims the New Zealand Government, under pressure from the US, has forced him to pull the plugs on the project. Bruce Simpson’s ‘build a cruise for under $5,000’ project has been fairly widely-known since at least March of this year, and he says the Government had previously admitted he wasn’t breaking any New Zealand laws, and had even confirmed that he was perfectly free to export the technology to Iran.

But now, reports the BBC, they have bankrupted him over a tax debt, and he has moved the missile to an undisclosed New Zealand location.

American beheading, faked?.

The first casualty of war is the truth and this one has been no exception. La Voz de Aztlan obtained a copy of the video showing the beheading of American Nick Berg of Philadelphia and immediately something very odd was readily apparent. Not only were the purported screams of Nick Berg not in synchrony with the decapitation but their was also a total lack of blood spurting out as his jugular and other veins and arteries were being cut.

Well the video looked real to me, and I doubt the terrorists are good at Adobe Premiere. Although the lack of blood is a valid point…

P2P are useful after all.

The US military is developing a weapon based on peer-to-peer technology to take out mobile phone communications, the US Department of Defence has revealed.

The system also has the capability to covertly monitor cellular traffic.

Codenamed ‘WolfPack’, the device is intended to prevent an enemy from using its communications technologies, including cellular, without hindering US forces’ own communications systems.

I wonder if they can trade MP3 files over those…

It’s not far away now!!!. FLYING CARS!!!!

You may hear it before you see it: it emits a rather noisy 65 dba at 500 feet. Interestingly, with a fuel consumption of 20 miles to the gallon on the road, it’s rather more economical than a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) and looks positively eco-friendly compared to a Hummer.

Pffft, even a space shuttle is more economical than a SUV.
