While reading my site’s access logs, this referring site caught my eye.

I came across something very interesting–a video clip that might be the third opening for Gundam SEED DESTINY. The background music is “northern lights” by Megumi.

The video can be found here. Take it with a grain of salt. I say that because of the lack of the Destiny Gundam that was hinted at in the last opening and the lack of new footage; all of the scenes from this opening could easily have been taken from past episodes of SEED or SEED DESTINY, and the rest could have been Photoshopped.

Update: Confirmed to be a fake. I wasn’t entirely convinced anyway. The song is “Northern Lights” by Megumi Hayashibara for all those interested.

The video in question can be found hosted on my site here. The song is indeed “Northern Lights” by Megumi Hayashibara and the video was indeed photoshopped. Still, it’s fun eh? ;) I thought the creator really hit the spot, Northern Lights would make a perfect OP for Destiny. Just look at the lyrics: “Do you believe in destiny?”, “onaji unmei wo tadoru ka to” and “I live with facing my destiny.”. lol.

At the very least, it sounds better than Pride. *cough* Well, I guess I shouldn’t post these videos without, uh, explanations next time…
