Now for the long entry I promised… Before we start, here are the pictures I took.
So what did I actually do in Japan (or more specifically, the areas in and around Tokyo)? Well, AzureFlux and I went there with a tour group, so for the first three days, we visited some fairly standard tourist spots like Hakone, Gotenba, Disneyland, wasabi and tea plantations and whatnot. After the rest of the group returned, we stayed for two more days and roamed on our own with our hotel in Ikebukuro as the starting point.
Things I did:
Watched “Air” in a cinema near our hotel.
Bought CDs like there’s no tomorrow.
Took four tries to get Stellar from a GSD poster vending machine.
Watched Mahou Sensei Negima on TV.
Watched Beck on TV.
Watched JINKI on TV… fell asleep.
Watched Xenosaga on TV… fell asleep.
Had lunch at the cosplay cafe Mai:lish in Akihabara
Had dinner at Sakura Cafe in Ikebukuro.
Visited COSPA.
Visited Tora no Ana.
Visited Lashinbang twice.
Visited K-Books twice.
Visited Gamers thrice.
Visited Animate four times.
Visited countless shops at Akihabara. Even some of the basements. (where the… uh… nice stuff are)
Visited countless CD shops, the last being audio plaza at Narita airpot.
Surfed the net and blogged at GeraGera Manga Cafe.
Ate ramen thrice.
Ate at McDonald’s.
Ate wasabi-flavoured ice-cream. (uh…)
Spent a lot of money…
Things I did NOT do:
Attend School Days promo event at Asobit City (no more tickets…). Took a picture of the preorder sheet instead…
Eat at Pure Maid Cafe. (The queue was loooong)
Watch My-HiME on TV… didn’t manage to stay awake long enough.
Buy Maaya Sakamoto’s “03+” DVD. (Couldn’t find it)
Buy a PSP. (Uh… I’m not sure why…)
Take enough pictures. (keep forgetting…)
