I just got home about 10 minutes ago.
Today sucked.
First, I spent last night burning the midnight oil to finish some homework due today, which happened to be the last day of this semester, only to forget to bring some other piece of homework that I had completed a few days ago (I promise never to finish homework so early next time). We received our results for this semester and I was 1 point away from an A+ for Math, which happens to take up double weightage for my GPA, thus I missed getting more than 3.7 for the GPA by 1 lousy mark (not to mention the 4.0 from my Japanese is not counted for this semester due administrative incompetence). Then I went for a briefing for the school trip to Aichi and realized that I didn’t bring my passport.
So far it’s all business as usual. Then…
After my night classes, I noticed that I left my keys at home on the way back. I called my mother and had to take a taxi to her workplace. Nearly dozing off during the ride, I got out in a hurry after arriving, eager to get the keys and go home…only to realize that I had left my mobile phone on the taxi. I watched helplessly as it drove off. After wandering around aimlessly for a while, I finally managed to locate a public phone that accepts coins. I called my mother, gave her the taxi’s license number, which I luckily managed to obtain because I asked for a receipt (which I had never done before…). She called the taxi company and passed me the house keys. I finally reached home at 11.20pm.
Wait… so everything’s going to be alright? Not really. Although my mother called only about five minutes after I got off the taxi, the company’s inefficient customer service ensured that the notice did not get through and even now the taxi company is still unable to obtain a reply from the taxi driver. Someone also switched off my phone, which means that it has most likely been taken. I’ll never seen my Stellar handphone strap again… and it’s all because City Cab has the worst customer service ever (well I shouldn’t have lost it in the first place, but that’s besides the point. It’s all their fault ;_;).
The only comforting thought I have left is that on top of my SIM card pin, I also added a phone lock. Once the person turned that phone off, he/she will never get to use it again… ._.
Oh well… I have to meet a Japanese tutor at the Japanese Association of Singapore tomorrow, I stored her phone number in my handphone. Grrr. I’ll need to obtain her number and call her to let her know about my phone before 2pm tomorrow…
On a slightly happier note, my Da Capo – Kotori Shirakawa Chapter novel arrived. Reading it helps alleviate my pains… somewhat. Kotori is great. >_<
