So… I just watched Da Capo Second Season episode 16…

The way I see it, D.C.S.S. is a story and stories are supposed to have a climax somewhere. And judging by previous experiences, this climax will come in one of the following forms:

  • Misunderstanding between Nemu and Jun’ichi causes some emotional outbursts. After some fake drama, they end up together again, happily ever after.
  • Everyone confesses to Jun’ichi. Nemu is sad, but finally learns to accept Jun’ichi’s harem. Ambiguous shitty “happy” ending where he ends up with everyone, but no one in particular (AKA the super cop-out ending).
  • Aishia spills the beans on Kotori and Jun’ichi realizes what a huge fuckup idiot he has been. He dumps Nemu and lives happily ever after with Kotori.

    • I can’t imagine how the story can continue to develope in any interesting manner and still have Jun’ichi ending up with Nemu, since they are already together! Therefore, I would say that the first ending is highly possible, but it will also be the worst ending, making the entire series a huge waste of time. I also believe that the second ending is highly unlikely, unless the producers are seriously out to ruin the franchise. Yet at the same time, I don’t see how it can do a 180 turn back to Kotori unless Jun’ichi finally grows a brain (unlikely).

    Let’s hope Jun’ichi does the right thing and chose Kotori. I WANT TO BELIEVE!

    …OMG what am I doing? I’m making predictions for the ending of an anime series when my Chinese and Chemistry papers are tomorrow! Goddammit, if I fail I’m blaming the producers! (unless Kotori wins…)
