Humans

Hold on to your hats and other headwears, cause this one’s gonna be a long one. If I have enough time. First of all, humans are waaaay too complicated. I’m not talking about emotions or even relationships, I’m talking about the physical appearances. Why can’t we be simpler? Then I can draw better. hehe.

Anyway this simpler thing brings us to another point. Why do we have countries? We have governments to keep things in order, sure. We have governments to decide what is good for us, sure. But why divide the world into counties? We have landed on the moon and made computers, yet we are still too barbaric too realize that the whole concept of country is just outrageous. What has dividing the world into countries ever do to improve our lives? Sure, it provides security, but I can see no advantage that having countries can offer, but uniting as a whole earth cannot. I see our backwards mindset still cannot see pass our petty differences that have passed down the generations. And don’t make me go into religions. Or about our class’s view of homosexuality.

Now let’s move on to human beings themselves. (see, this rant is a random mixture of things) What does it mean to be human? Does our physical bodies make us humans? Or it is our mind? I’m sure in the future, physical bodies can be duplicated completely. Will a computer soooo complex that it becomes sentient be counted as human? What makes us human…just because we are? Does our emotion make us human? But emotion are just reprogrammed reactions based on our instincts which can be reproduced in a computer. Then what else makes us human if care, love, hatred and all others are but programs? The mind is just a computer, complex, but still just a computer. The physical body is easily replacable. I guess being human is nothing special.

Now to lightened up the mood, let’s rant about the Matrix. Neo flew at 3 times the speed of the fastest plane in the world, or 9 times the speed of sound. He dragged around with him enough things to make sure that at least one of the flying objects must have hit someone and killed him/her. Now I’m no genius but ain’t you guys trying to like, FREE the people in the Matrix? If you go around KILLING people, doesn’t that make you terrorists? You know, the whole “we want to free you from oppression but first we must kill you because it is necessary for the CAUSE” thing? And how do you even KNOW that the people WANT to be free? Cypher, that guy who defected, already proved that some people will regret coming out of the Matrix. I mean honestly, why will you want to live in the hell-hole that is Zion instead of comfy Matrix?
