Singapore Cosfest 2006

9 July 20061 min read17 comments

Went to Singapore Cosfest 2006 at Downtown East today. It’s a really small event, but it’s pretty much the best we get. I went there with some school mates and ended up bumping into Shia and Kwok. Also met an acquaintance from years ago. Singapore is really small.

My camera’s batteries went flat soon after I got there, so I didn’t manage to take a lot of pictures…

There was a guy cosplaying as KOS-MOS… I couldn’t bare to take a picture.

Oh yeah, and that girl who performed “ENDLESS STORY” from Nana on stage, that was good. I love that song so much that I kept replaying that portion of the movie. :3

Anyway, we wandered around the event area for a bit before heading to White Sands for dinner and finally Kwok’s house to ~~look at his pr0n collection~~ help him set up Winny/Share. We ended up watching the first episode of Coyote Ragtime Show (which I had already watched). It’s looking good so far. All hail the killer loli’s.

Lol I took that KOS-MOS dude’s picture. He’s always cosplaying female characters.

I LOL’ed at the Shia pic.

“Noidea” No.1 is supposed to be Quistis from FF8.

The Saya cosplayer looks damned cool. She must be a tsunderekko IRL too.

And be careful, ThePaper, Drm sounds like he wants to stalk you ;).

Japanese Speech Contest, Cosfest V 2006 at TwoViews

[…] Results. Let’s just put it this way: Girls whooped the boys’ asses. ‘Nuff said. Top of 3 out of the 4 categories was a girl/lady, I think. As for the people I actually know, the results were kinda reversed from the order I had thought it would be before the contest: DarkMirage got 6th, last (which probably explains why he posted on Cosfest V instead of the speech contest); the other S4 got 5th, and the S3 got 3rd. Why, you ask? I shan’t divulge my detailed analysis of the outcome for fear of offending someone. […]

[…] Unfortunately I only took a few photos (mostly with friends), but you can have a look at Char’s, Tsubaki’s, Tjhan’s, and DarkMirage’s galleries for an idea of what it was like. The indoor lighting was terrible, and the rain prevented most people from having proper outdoor shots in the field. […]
