Robin

I just realized I’ve never mentioned Witch Hunter Robin on my blog before, how could I have missed it?!?! It’s a great anime. :X

Basically in the near future, there are humans who possesses powers called Crafts. These people usually do not know their powers and when it surfaces, they usually lose control or use their powers for selfish purposes. An organization called STN (no one knows what the full name is) is in charged of monitoring these Witches and arrest them if trouble arises. Anyway, the story revolves around STN-J, the Japan division of STN. The main character is of course, Robin, a Craft user who had just joined STN-J as a hunter. BTW, she was a nun, can shoot fire from her eyes and sleeps naked. Weird combo. lol.

The main problem with the series is that it starts off slow. REAL slow. Roughly the whole of the first 10 episodes are just fillers, the kind where each episode introduces a new Witch and the story resolves at the end of the episode. That is not to say there isn’t character development, but frankly all those episodes were unnecessary. The main storyline starts around the middle of the series and that’s where the show really makes you come back for more. (ZzzZZzz I almost gave up on the series at episode 7 but luckily all the positive reviews on the net managed to get me pass the crappy start)

And Robin’s pretty cute too. :P
