Nihongo

Managed to fixed the stupid PATA and SATA harddrive conflicts… somehow… I guess one of those BIOS settings must have done something. Anyway, the new SATA jumped to the 3rd IDE controller and my older harddrives got magically detected. Well I don’t have enough power cables to connect to three harddrives at the same time, so I’ll have to alternate between the two old ones for now, (the new SATA being the system drive) until I buy a splitter. The new casing is REALLY convenient since you can take the covers off from the top so I don’t have to unplug everything in order to open it. Plus it’s a lot more spacious so I don’t have to dismantle the whole fricking thing to change one harddrive. Anyway here’s the changes made:

Intel Pentium 4 2800MHz (L2 Cache 1024KB)
MSI 865PE Neo2-PS motherboard
512 DDR SDRAM

The rest are the same, except my LAN and sound turned integrated… Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC for LAN and AC97-based Intel 82801EB(M) ICH5 for sound. Well AC97 is not really a downgrade since my old Creative Live! Value since that card sucks ASS. (I even had to download an opensource driver for it so that it’ll work with the latest DirectSound)

However, I didn’t have much time to enjoy my new hardwares. I knew I should’ve done all my homework yesterday. ;_; Sigh, wasted a whole bunch of time staring at WinAmp visualizer to get some “inspiration” for my Japanese composition homework… Why are all the topics so deja vu?!? :(
