Take Maria-sama ga Miteru and up the yuri factor by 1000 times. That is what Strawberry Panic is about. Basically, Nagisa Aoi transfers to this all-girls catholic school that is collocated with two other affliated all-girls school and all three schools are full of sexually-confused nubile young girls. She meets Shizuma Hanazono, the etoile (french for “star”) of the three schools (something like the student representative) and is promptly sexually-assaulted by her. Nagisa’s roommate, Tamao Suzumi, also takes an immediate liking in her, i.e. stalking.
And I’m not even joking.
If you can’t stand yuri, stay away from this show. If you love yuri, give it a try. As much as I love Kannadzuki no Miko and Yamiboushi, something about this series feels… too extreme. I don’t know… I guess I’ll keep watching and see how it goes.
My opinions of Kannaduki and Strawberry Panic are just the opposite. I found Kannaduki violent and nasty, not a world I wanted to spend any time in. This, despite its extremeness, I find quite nice so far.

Well, by extreme I mean that Strawberry Panic is yuri to the point that there seems to be NOTHING else. At all. Negligible story, cliched setting, flat characters.
I am not easily bothered (for good or for bad) by violence or sex. I am, however, deepily disturbed by shows that have nothing else.

Uh… Yah, is every girl in it a Lesbian? Its a Catholic school too?!?! Yah, This is a anime full of really really almost sickening emotions, they flood your soul and makes you “feel the love”.
I’ve watched the first & second episode, It’s really well done. I cant wait to watch the future episodes.

i watch it alot. it might come of to extreem for some people but i love it!!!!!!!
I’ve seen the entire series (awhile ago), it is pretty extreme. Though the first episode really brings the extremity into it, it stays like that pretty much through the entire series. I enjoyed it, though I’m not exactly into Yuri it was good.
Kanadzuki was pretty violent.. didn’t really keep me so interested in that series, seemed more action than Yuri to me, with Yuri as a side theme.
