This is my favourite part of the entire EOY Cosplay event.
The quality is bad because it was taken by me with a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W1 camera. In addition to photography, I also suck at video recording and editing.
Shangri-La is a really nice song and this performance was pretty darn good. Atsuko would have been proud. BTW, you can hear me and Tsubaki talking. <_<
The programme sheet doesn’t say who the singer was. Whoever you are, PLEASE BE AT THE NEXT COSPLAY EVENT TOO! Me love you long time. :3

I think she was the same person who sang Shangri-La at last year’s Cosfest, because I was impressed (and remembered).

Holy crap,thats some good singing! Than again I’m not the singing type,my voice would scare everyone away. o_O
She was supposed to sing Colours of the Heart from Blood+ at first! My friend and I was quite sad that she changed song, but both of us were wow-ed. Best performance that day indeed.
Shangri-La is way better than Colors of the Heart, so it’s all good.
But yeah, the programme sheet was way off.

yup that’s Rika. You don’t have to go to Singapore to see her — she always stops by for Comic Fiesta. She sang Glamourous Sky for CF 06.
O.o I was so surprised by her that I forgot to record it down. This is the first time i had been to a cosfest too………
ya..i noe many ppl thinks her singing rox.. and i haf to admit it: pretty not bad..but it can be improve. all her high pitches can improved further. cos in her singing, she’s trying to keep out (if possible) of the high pitch zones..other than that, the shaking of the camera. etc…. WOOHOO>.
yes she was the only one listenable there… the MC were terrible, everyone else was just as bad :( all i have to say is , EOY was just plain screwed up .. cant belive i waited half a year for something like that.. Cosfest was way better.
Hello~ this is Rika, the one in the video. Thanks so much to everyone for the compliments and crit on the song! The main reason why the programme sheet was off was because I had some throat problems during that last week leading up to EOY and by then they’d sent in the booklets for printing. At the soundcheck that morning my Colours of the Heart sounded pretty off so I decided not to traumatise everyone’s hearing organs and sing Shangri-La instead. Sorry for disappointing those who were anticipating CoTH! m(_ _)m All in all though, thanks so much again guys, and I’m really glad that it was well received!
That was a great performance! I heard atsuko @ CNAnime, and you can hardly tell the difference :)
