Alter’s Fate Testarossa Re-release
Alter’s 1/8 Fate Testarossa is getting a 2nd release in April. Hobby Stock has started taking preorders for it today.
The hawt selling point is of course the the powerful action pose, the sword and the fact that there are a lot of lolicons out there. I jest, but I’m pretty sure I’ve seen a fully-nude custom mod of this figure somewhere on 2ch before…
This ultra popular supreme PVC hit figurine is currently sold out everywhere except a few stores that are charging premium for it. Preorder this while you still can.
On a completely unrelated note, my birthday is on the 19th this month, just about a week off. Wouldn’t it be nice if someone bought this for me? Or maybe even this. Mmmm… And for absolutely no reason whatsoever, here’s the link to my Amazon wishlist. *hint hint* :)
P.S. I recently forced myself to watch a few episodes of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha and I am totally stumped as to why it’s so popular. I rather watch Lovely Idols. Please advice.

maybe ppl watch nanoha cos they are simply lolicons. just like me …another possibility is that they cant get enuff of cardcaptor sakura as they are quite near the same theme of 13 year-old girls fighting as mage..lol…or just simply: they wan to watch them do the transformation OMG!! but nanoha’s A the opening theme is nice. lol.i nv watch but i like that song.

i own this figure and the box is so freakin HUGE that HLJ had to send it EMS. I am shocked that u haven’t watched this show DM…As like many others have said it takes awhile before season1 gets good which is around episode 6 if i remember correctly. Season 2 is made of win and gold from beginning to start. I have never touched any loli like shows until this one and still won’t except this show as an exception.

You don’t even have to watch the first season to watch the second. I watched it first, was astonished by all the win that it was made of and when I started to watch its prequel, sure that it will be just great, I was disappointed : it was just boring from start to end. So you go watch the second season which has LOT of fights and a fantastic story and just drop the boring first season !

Truth be told, first 3/4 of Nanoha is too slow for most to bear, and A’s is overrated. Lovely Idol on the other hand is… is……
… I think I’m going to cry just thinking that I actually finished it.

I didn’t get into Nanoha until episode 4-5-ish when Fate showed up Now I love the show, mostly because of Fate, but Hayate and Vita in the second season are extremely cute characters all the same. I know I’m a pedo, so that could be it too…
Others that I know that couldn’t get into the first season had much better luck with A’s with its heavy action and, well, LOLness for a better word.

People’s tastes differ. And your expectations were too high, especially for the start of the show, so the chances you’d like it, seriously flawed as the start is, was very low to begin with.
This is not high-budget Haruhi. This is a random, short mahou shoujo series, an experiment that wasn’t liked by everyone. It helps if you are _someone who can feel the cuteness_ (lolicon), and yeah, don’t expect too much.
Anyway, don’t watch it because every Nanoha fanboy (like me) tells you how great it is. Watch it because you want to, or just leave it.
That said, I loved it. Especially the latter half of first season. A’s started off with nice action but was pretty weak in comparison.

i liked nanoha not because of the loli, but more because of the story and plot. for the record, i dont like loli but since the characters are like that, it cant be helped. off the record, the loli is just a bonus.
and its a good thing they’re making a re-release of it. drat all my contacts cant get it anymore.

It’s popular because it’s a good show that manages to provide good action with likable characters. It’s not that difficult.

Come on, she blows people up if they don’t want to be friends with her. They make her sad.
Anyway, regardless of the first 2 seasons, stay far away from StrikerS. That was an even bigger let down.
