LONDON, England (Reuters) — A giant asteroid is heading for Earth and could hit in 2014, U.S. astronomers have warned British space monitors.

But for those fearing Armageddon, don’t be alarmed — the chances of a catastrophic collision are just one in 909,000.

According to this website, the chances of that happening is only slightly less than being murdered and MORE likely than dying of a poisonous sting/bite, killed by lightning or winning the lottery. So the next time you hear about someone winning the lottery or strucked by lightning, look up to the sky and see if you can spot an asteroid heading towards earth that will cause an ELE, aka Extinction Level Event.
