RIP

Sigh, what a depressing day yesterday was. I accidentally killed my Pentium 4 (don’t ask) and right now I have to use my mother’s computer to blog and surf… It doesn’t even have a fricking soundcard so I can’t watch anime. ;_;

Also, irc.mircx.com died. It got DDoSed until their host decided that it was not worth endangering the other paying customers in order to maintain this free irc server. ;_; Some of the old channels on mircx still haven’t relocated/announce their relocation and those HAVE relocated to a new server are still not really organized yet… (at least most of them moved to the same server, I hate having to connect to multiple servers…)

Well the lack of anime and irc wasn’t that bad. I played Tokimeki Memorial 2 for 5 hours straight yesterday. Think of it as revising for Japanese test… yeah. The mini games are so fun, lol.

On a happier note, I didn’t fail my chinese test! w00t! 51/60 which is exactly 85%. Yay! Well, I had 6 questions wrong in the first section (out of ten) but I managed to make it up with my ability to crap through the comprehension section. (needs a copy and paste function in the test papers)

Today’s Japanese test was veeeeeeerry easy. I revised my kanji for nothing… the kanji questions were all the easier ones from the lessons… Tokimemo 2 actually did helped. At least for one of the questions. (well reading the textbook would’ve helped with that question too, but Tokimemo is more fun!)

Now I need to think of some way to print out my poetry assignment WITHOUT moving my printer all the way from the other room and setting it up with this crappy Pentium 500mhz… (128mb of RAM for god’s sake!)

I’m thinking I have to do it the analog way…. (pen and paper…) or maybe I can save it in my mp3 player and print it in the library tomorrow… which reminds me, I have to get new rechargable batteries for my iRiver. I tihnk the NiMH ones I’m using are reaching their advertised lifespan of 1000 charges. (or was it 10000?)

The Raffles Institution Prefectorial Board election campaigns are in full swing now. Thousands of pieces of paper are being wasted for the posters that are pasted all over the school. Even the toilets. Every morning, the candidates make speeches that mostly consist of making as many puns with their names as possible, (long? Long? Wrong? Dragon? (long) WTF? That’s just one of the examples) and the puns have to be as corny as possible. This WAS creative… a few hundred years ago maybe, but now that EVERYONE is doing it, it becomes no different than the average boring speech.

I have decided that other than the candidates from my class, I will only vote for those candidates who DIDN’T ionclude a SINGLE pun in their speech. I think amoung these people, that guy who did the rap stood out the most. :P

P.S. I will never vote for David Chan because he missed out Dreamcast from his list of things that have the acronym D.C. lalalalala~
