Seems like I had to deal with a lot of customer service people this year. First my iPod harddisk failed, my Pocket PC battery failed, my order from cdjapan.co.jp came with a cracked casing, and now these…

Our records show that you recently ordered the below item:

AV-0690 Crest of the Stars DVD Collection

An error in our sale pricing had this item marked to $14.99. While we strive
to maintain complete accuracy on our website for info and pricing, errors
can occur.

The retail price of this item is $49.99, so our special sale pricing should
have been 29.99. Unfortunately, the 14.99 price error is below our cost, so
we cannot honor the error.

You may:

1. Cancel the order for this item.

2. Purchase it at our 40% off sale price of 29.99.

Let us know, the order will be held until we receive a reply. Of course, we
apologize for the error, and the inconvenience.

Thanks,

Darin Boatwright

What? So they’d honour the price if it were higher? =_= Don’t I deserve some kind of compensation for this… /o/ The psychological trauma it put me through. I’ve always thought internet shopping sites are supposed to sell any placed orders at the listed price, even if the list price was a mistake. Dammit! I demand compensation!!!!!!!! 29.99 (80+? SGD including shipping) is a huge difference from 14.99. (50 SGD including shipping) Now I’m not sure if I still want to buy it. Sigh.

And in a related customer service screw up, HP returned me a HP iPAQ 2200… booooohooo. It’s lighter than my iPAQ 5550, and unlike 5550 the infrared can be used as an all purpose remote, but other than that it sucks. Only 64mb of RAM and no built-in Wi-Fi. Not to mention it doesn’t even fit the cradle. Heh, if they had sent me a better model, I’d have just kept it and bought a new cradle… /o/

Maths test tomorrow. Baaaah.
