Went to the Summer Festival (夏祭り) at Singapore Japanese School’s Changi campus. Arrived at Tanah Merah MRT at around 4.30pm and took the shuttle service there. The queues for ticket sales and entrance started moving at 6pm. Plenty of people were wearing yukata, a few even had costumes… /o/
The festival itself was pretty much a bunch of queues to buy food or to play games. There were some performances on the stage in the center too, and some of the songs played were not even Japanese. The food was good for the most part. Met Shia, Name and Ivan there.
A free fan was given to everyone… I lost mine. Oh well, it was a lame fan anyway. I also threw away the balloon thing which was the prize of a game. (you get it whether you win or lose the game…)
We probably spent the most time queuing for candy floss. The queue was moving at a blazing speed of 5 minutes per person because the person was cleaning the machine after every candly floss… who the hell does that. We went to another stall with an even longer queue and got our candy floss before the people who were in front of us in the first queue.
Shia danced on the stage during the Bon Odori… /o/
All in all, it was pretty fun. I’m dead tired now…
