HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR – RUN RUN RUN

HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR’s third single (not counting PRIDE remixes), RUN RUN RUN, has a distinctively different feel from the first two.

RUN RUN RUN is a very upbeat song with a down-to-earth feeling. PRIDE and OVER were good, but it’s nice to see a change of pace. Maki’s vocal is great as always. Surprisingly, Yuusuke’s backing vocal still fits quite well in this new song.

That said, RUN RUN RUN lacks the impact that PRIDE had. It does make up for it with its catchy tune, so I guess it depends on the listener. PRIDE had a really distinct feel to it, while RUN RUN RUN sounds somewhat like another sing-along-feel-good song. Again, it really depends on which style you prefer. I think they are both good in different aspects, but I prefer PRIDE.

Did I mention that Maki’s vocal is great? ._.
