School Rumble Presents come! come! well-come? party

School Rumble Presents come! come! well-come? party a DVD recording of a School Rumble event that took place at Yokohama BLITZ last december. Some screenshots:

Yui Horie seems to have lost some weight. Or maybe it’s the makeup. o_O

Anyway, frankly speaking, most of them cannot sing. Even Yui Horie sounds vastly different from her CDs. That’s what a live event does to people…

The exceptions are Salia (vocal for unicorn table) and Hitomi Nabatame (voice for Mikoto Suou). Mamiko Noto sounds good too. The rest were feh. Yuuka Nanri’s song does not really bring out her superb vocal at all… They should’ve hired Yuki. The best part of the DVD is at the first half where Salia sings all four unicorn table songs that came in School Rumble character CDs back to back. Just amazing. Her voice (with that slight rough edge) and the way she sings really reminds me of Atsuko from angela. My favourite is “Infinity”, followed by “Distant Love”. “Closer” is great too… actually all four songs are great. ^^

Mamiko Noto’s (Yakumo’s) “Yuugao” is great too of course. Hitomi Nabatame’s “The super girl has the super heart” is an unexpected favourite. It sounds almost exactly like it did on her CD. As some random guy on IRC once said, when an artist is able to sing as well live as she did on CD, you know she’s the real deal. (or something along that line)

Unicorn table needs to release more CDs…
