Winamp

Winamp 5 is out. WTF? Did Winamp skipped a number?

Actually no. After Winamp 3 jumped the building and got its dead body peaked clean by demon vultures, the developers actually moved BACK to updating Winamp 2 features. (Winamp 3 was a real piece of crap…) Because of how much Winamp 3 sucked, their website had to be divided into 2 sections: Winamp 2 and Winamp 3 for a looooong time.

So now they name the new Winamp 5 because it incorporates the usability of 2 with the skinability of 3, hence 2 + 3 = 5. Basically it supports ALL Winamp 2 and 3 skins AND still manages to support ALL Winamp 2 plugins.

Mmm…. I should give this a try. Winamp 3 skins look sooooo cool! O.o

UPDATE: Winamp 5 rocks! All my old Winamp 2.9x plugins still work and now I get to use that Winamp 3 skin I’ve always wanted. :P The skin is called MMD3, look at these screenshots:
