AHHHHHHHH CHINESE TEST TOMORROW! DIE DIE DIE.
And I’m still here blogging. Meh.
Almost failed my maths test. Well almost failed to get A… ^^;; 16/20 which is 80% and just nice for A. (stupid new grade point system) I thought I would have failed for sure, but thanks to an ambigously-phrased question, I received 2 free marks and another one mark from another question because I managed to convince the teacher that it was a careless instead of a conceptual error.
Anyway, here’s the 2 free marks question:
Find 2 sets of integers for x and y so that x^y = y^x.
Well I was running out of time by that question, so my brain is in a mess. There is in fact only two numbers that can fit the criteria: 2 and 4. The REAL answers are 2 & 4 or 4 & 2 or -2 & -4 or -4 & -2. (yes, switching the position counts as a new set of integers)
HOWEVER, as I said, I was running out of time and I wrote this:
y = 1
x = 1
1^1 = 1^1y = 2
x = 2
2^2 = 2^2
AND I GOT FULL MARKS FOR IT, because the teacher realized that the question didn’t state that x cannot be equals to y. Hurray for luck! Muahahaha. Of course bad luck also caused to me lose the other 4 marks to stupid careless mistakes… Sigh…
