I would like to introduce you to Rosario + Vampire, a very enjoyable manga series which seems to fall under the radars of most people for some reason. It’s about a guy called Tsukune Aono who accidentally enrols in a school for monsters and demons and end up with a harem of supernatural beings. The [...]
Missed your chance at preordering Max Factory's awesomeness reincarnated 1/8 Haruhi? (BTW I preordered two of them.) Here's something that's almost as good! Okay maybe not, but every little bit helps, right? :P
I dropped by Kinokuniya to place an order for Zero no Tsukaima vol.2 and 3 today and pick up the October Issue of Newtype. As usual, I ended up with unexpected expenditures. Let me tell you a story.
I happened to be near Kinokuniya yesterday when I received a call from the Japanese book counter telling me that my Negima! Vol.15 was ready for collection. The limited edition is waaaay overpriced but I bought it anyway because I am a tool of the system. It comes with a DVD that contains promotional material for [...]
Honey & Clover Vol. 8 rocked!!! (Okay, so I’m almost a year late…) For no particular reason, I shall talk about Kinokuniya in Singapore today. Bear with me here… Note: This image has nothing to do with Kinokuniya As you probably know, Kinokuniya is a Japanese bookstore chain. The main branch is in Shinjuku in Tokyo. Here’s picture [...]
I just caught a late night show of Death Note: First Part in a cinema in Ikebukuro today. It was much better than I expected, but there wasn’t enough Misa Misa. Movie guide sold with all movies in Japan. As if the movie tickets weren’t expensive enough. Beat Angel Escalayer Free hentai streams avaliable here at UrHentai.net
The sign “Chuo Line (Limited Express)” points straight. The sign “Chuo Line (Rapid)” points right. Looking around, not a route map to be seen… I am at Shinjuku station, the busiest train station in the world and I am on my way to search for the fabled Nakano Broadway, a secret gathering of shops selling [...]
Wandered around East Ikebukuro in the morning and Shinjuku in the afternoon today. Finally got to visit the Kinokuniya main branch. Although our hotel is located in Ikebukuro, it is on the opposite side of the train station from the major concentration of anime-related shops, so we didn’t take the time to visit there until now. [...]
Things like this piss me off. Japanese National Police Agency’s New Law against “Manga, Anime, Game Expression” Today, I got an email from a Japanese creator, letting us know about the new law currently being discussed to be applied by Japanese National Police Agency. This is a law to restrict expression of Manga, Anime, Game, that [...]
Looks like I spoke too soon about not having the time to pick up my Kinokuniya order. Yet another new girl in the latest volume of Rosario + Vampire. Damn, is the mangaka going to do this for every book or something? D: The cliffhanger from last volume ends so fast that it barely hits one quarter [...]
I finally bought the first volume of NHK ni Youkoso!. Man, it costs ¥560, which is ¥170 more expensive than those standard Kadokawa shounen stuff. To this day, I have yet to figure out how this pricing system works. But anyway, ¥170 makes it S$4.40 more expensive (after going through Kinokuniya’s markup, another pricing system [...]
Ichigo Mashimaro makes me feel so guilty. But anyway, I started watching the anime and it’s better than I thought. The seiyuu were all very good, although I think there are more suitable candidates for Nobue and Ana, which is not to say that I don’t like Hitomi Nabatame and Mamiko Noto (Yakumo FTW!). Also, [...]
