I attended Xbox 360’s 2nd anniversary (in Singapore) party last night (April 3rd). It’s basically a small invite-only event for developers to showcase some of the upcoming titles to local bloggers and an excuse to have cake. I’m not exactly sure why I was invited, but apparently someone from GameAxis recommended me to the Microsoft [...]
For some reason, I was coerced into helping to publicize for this event that is happening at the National University of Singapore (NUS) next week. All the really cool stuff takes place at NUS. Anyway, NUS Comics and Animation Society is having some kind of…bazaar or something from 5th to 7th September. It’s really kind [...]
Wow I finally uploaded these. My internet connection was acting screwy last week and YouTube uploads kept failing. Day 1 of Cosfest VI’s highlight was an anime karaoke competition. As usual Rika and Mizuki rocked. YouTube videos of their performances embedded after the jump.
Cosfest is finally over. I am so tired from two entire days of photo-taking. It’s been 24 hours and my hands still ache from carrying a camera that weighs at least 24.43 jillion pounds. I’ve been feeling feverish the whole day because of a throat infection. In fact, I was feeling pretty shitty throughout the [...]
A group of Haruhi cosplayers performed the Lucky Star OP dance as part of their entry item for the semi-finals of the World Cosplay Summit (Singapore), which is part of Cosfest VI. Here’s a super blur and shaky video of the performance: Head to the gallery for more cosplay pictures from the event (including the SOS-dan [...]
I attended Cosplay Quest 2006 held at Cineleisure today. Long story short: it was somewhat disappointing. I did get to take a picture with a Haruhi cosplayer, though. That’s how I look like IRL. No, really. Yeah, I was the guy walking around in the SOS-dan T-shirt. Long story long:
My short report on today’s Summer Days event in Akihabara. We arrived at Akihabara Station at about 9.30am. The tickets for the event were given out at 10am, but there was already a queue of around 50 people by the time we got there. Of course the event room sits 120 people so we were fine. [...]
Just reached home from the WCG Finals. Quite wasted. Anyway: USA won CS: Source and Halo 2 China won WC3 Korea won Starcraft: BW (surprise!) Japan won DOA: Ultimate (does that guy even own an Xbox!?) Some other countries I don’t care about won some other games I don’t care about USA also won the overall championship for having the most [...]
I took a break from translating Gunparade Orchestra to check out the fifth World Cyber Games currently being held at Suntec City level 6 in Singapore. I was there from around 4pm till 7pm and caught two highlight CS:Source games.
